Graceful Vegetarian Restaurant 法海素食軒

Hands down my favourite restaurant. Everything is delicious and is a great place even for your die-hard meat eaters who won't be able to tell that everything is mock. Must try dishes are the XO turnip cakes and butterfly mock steak!!!

Our family have been enjoying meals from the Graceful Vegetarian restaurant for many years. We first discovered this restaurant when it was located at Market Village (beside Pacific Mall). Now it is located in the Splendid China Tower mall across the street.

From our early dining experiences to the most recent (which was last night), these are some details to share:

The food is always cooked deliciously well and prepared beautifully. It is not overly expensive. The meals are made well and worth it. Mock meat may not be for everyone but for those who love vegetarian and Chinese food, this is a great place to eat. We have discovered so many favourite dishes over the years, that are specific to our family’s needs, and they are always ready to offer recommendations when we want to try something new.

The service is one of the best. They create a peaceful atmosphere to eat in. The decor is simple and clean. All of the working staff are so kind, polite, and good people. There’s lots of parking. You don’t need to worry about not finding a parking spot. It is a wonderful place to bring your family.

Although maintaining hygiene standards should be basic Professional Standards in the Food Service Industry for any restaurant, not every establishment is aware of this. Therefore, I was pleased to observe that all chefs wear hairnets and the kitchen meets basic sanitation requirements. The food quality authentically captures Hong Kong-style dim sum expectations, complemented by friendly service. That said, the business would likely attract larger crowds if located in a better plaza with more stylish decor.

We take a couple of dim sum. It tested ok. We would love more spices. Not a lot of vegetables netheir. Staff is very friendly.

Cannot rave about this restaurant enough. The food was amazing, there was so many options, and the staff were very helpful, asking if either of us were vegan/vegetarian and explaining vegan options. Will come here again very soon!

It's a no frills vegetarian restaurant with minimal décor. And furniture is very basic. Food is good though and so is service. A little pricey.

This was not our first time at this amazing restaurant, nor will it be our last.
Asian vegan dishes with vegan protein are hard to find. You will find them here and they taste amazing.
Quiet and peaceful the times we have been there, with great friendly service. We stopped there last month on the way from Kingston to the airport and were very happy to be back at the Graceful restaurant.
The owner's, goes to Queen's Univ, so we tried to convince him to move his restaurant to Kingston.
It is one of Scarborough's must stops.

the food is always delicious and the service is top notch. our waiter was so friendly and kind, and i appreciate the vegan options. my best friend and i love to visit when we’re in the area.

Great service, the staff is so friendly and thorough! We told them that I’m vegan and they were able to change the egg noodles in a dish to vermicelli. Everything was delicious, will definitely be back!

Very delicious food. Sweet and sour mock pork was so great. Sesame buns also so great! Coming back soon for sure :)

The food all looked really great, but the taste was really bland, portion sizes for the cost was also small. We might have just had bad luck ordering, but feels like a lack of vegetables and sides, not enough seasoning on what was there. If we were meant to order sides it's weird how so much is priced as a main dish.

The service is fantastic though
