the pricing is ridiculous 15.95 for one piece of battered fish and it was mainly batter asked for sweet potatoes fries got regular fries. coffee was awful so strong. my hubbie had 22.00 meal with a grilled fish no bigger than 3×3 and a garden salad mainly Lettuce one piece of tomatoes and 3 pieces of red onion. never going back!!!!

at the markham and kingston road location in Scarborough, The male server was very rude with my family on family day from not allowing us to chose the table we preferred although the restaurant was empty, to rushing us to order, to acting surprised when i asked the dishwasher to get his attention to clarify my order which was placed at the table when i was in the washroom. The fries were very hard and not tasty. For 21$ a meal this is not the service/customer treatment, or quality of food one would hope for or expect. It seemed he was giving an ungrateful attitude for our business. He even said "dont come back if this is how you behave" when i called him out on rushing us to pay, when i let him know i will pay now but not be rushing myself to finish my meal at any point soon. I tipped very miminal, because it actually felt like he didnt deserve a tip at all for his unaccomadating , impatient and impolite attitude..Good luck. I really hope this location does something about the poor customer service skills of this man, because this isnt a new issue. He was rude and unaccomadating last time to even a few years ago, this restaurant wont be able to stay in business very long if they treat all customers in such an ungrateful manner.

Service here was mediocre at best. We were seated in plenty of time but waited a bit to be served. Got our meals fine but the waiter didn’t come even to come back to see how everything was. Our water ran out and the ketchup bottle had a clog so when we went to use it spilled all over. We needed more napkins but no server in site. The waiter was more concerned with the table beside us as it was a party of 12. We paid our bill with cash and he just assumed that the remainder was for him. I’ve been to other Halibut Houses and will not return to this one.

Good chain restaurant. I went in for a late breakfast but had the fish sandwich and onion rings for $14. It was pretty good, not too much batter or greasy.

This place is pretty impressive. The food is prepared better than most breakfast places
The price was very reasonable. The service is excellent and the place is so clean I couldn't even believe it. I am usually complaining about the washrooms. Restaurant washrooms are never clean, unless it's a high end place. But I was impressed. We will.100% return.

I cant wait to try the fish and chips. I hope it tastes just as good.

My husband ordered two meals of fish fingers for us. His with poutein and mine with sweet potatoe fries. My husband got his dinner but all I was given was the fries! I guess disabled people really don't exist in some places.

Overall, all a decent location of this chain chippy if a little smaller than other locations. I'm generally fine with this chain but personally prefer an independent fish and chip restaurant. This location had friendly enough staff and is pretty clean and well maintained. Decor is a bit clinical and seating is okay.

Had the Halibut & Chips and it was a fair cut of fish and a decent portion of chips.

Prices are as you would expect for fish and chips.

Super clean place albeit empty for dinner time on a Thursday which was a bit surprising. The lady who helped us was super nice. We got two orders of halibut Fish and Chips. Decent size portions buuuuut.... Batter was soft and mushy, could barely break it with a fork! You had to fight with it! Fries were good but a few under done ones. $47 for the lot, I expected something more traditional and classic tasting. Might try it again down the road but will definitely tell them to make sure that the batter is a bit more golden brown and not yellowish beige.

Too expensive for fish. Very hard to communicate with person on phone to get correct order. He made a mistake and had to wait for correction
