Pasta was way too salty and tasted like something you could just make nothing special at all. Veal barely tastes like veal.
A diamond in the ruff!!
Excellent food, always fresh, creative combinations, large portions
Clean with great servers

Very good Chicken Parm with pasta. So, l ordered the 3-course dinner and, along with the parm, both the soup (Potato Leek) and the Tartufo were great. My family (including my picky Aunt) were also very happy with their dishes. The staff were quick and efficient.

Went there for dinner tonight. Pizzas were fantastic. Hands down the best pizza north of Brooklyn, NY. Also had the chicken with cognac and mushroom and it was Delish, definitely worth many more visits. Decor needs updating badly.

Overcooked, under portioned and tasteless. Had to ask for sauce for fish and butter for the meager bread basket.

Purchased a meal online to take advantage to buy a pizza or pasta dish and get an appetizer free. My girlfriend and I ordered the spaghetti bolognese with Caesar salad and the Margherita Pizza and bruschetta. After getting the food home and having our first bites it seems that Il Fresco doesn’t have alot of pride in how they make their food. My Margherita pizza was burnt and for the price, should’ve just gone to Dominos. The Bruschetta was loaded with cheese so much you could barely taste the bruschetta itself. My girlfriends spaghetti Bolognese was bland. Definitely the last time ordering anything this place.forst pic is a burnt pizza and the second pic is cheese overloaded bruschetta.

We were looking for independent dinner or restaurant in the area and this place looked interesting. The food was decent and reasonable price. Speed was as you would expect. Both our dishes were tasty and portion size was certainly fair.
Server seemed inexperienced in restaurant service, but was polite and friendly. In time I'm sure she will get better.
Decor is very underwhelming. An odd mix of 80s restaurant tack on the walls and 90s modern seating area yet still very very minimal.

It's like a cafe by the track. Quite tasty. ?
The waitress is very nice!
Parking: There are enough seats
Kid-friendliness: Nice waitress. She gave the children ice cream.

Awesome food. They didn’t have lasagna on their menu but the chef made it especially for us. The calamari is also wonderful!

Ordered pizzas for everyone in our party. It was cooked well, looked/tasted good and flavourful. Vegetables looked freshly chopped,
One of the better thin crust pizzas we've had.
Place has been around for a long time hidden in a strip plaza on Kingston - we finally decided to check it out. On a Monday night was practicality empty and quiet.
Service was good and waitress was pleasant.
They even gave our table a surprise and delight extra.
For absolute clarity pizza oven is stone not wood fired.

I used to frequent this restaurant pre-COVID and always felt it was a hidden gem. I moved closer to the city and hadn’t been back for years but wanted wood fired pizza and wanted to support an independent small business.
I believe they must have changed owners since 2019/2020. There was an odd stale odour when we entered and the decor was lacking any sense of ambiance.
We ordered the anti-pasta miso to share as a starter. This was always a favourite of mine. Sadly, the olives were poor quality, there was still the plastic casing on some of the salami,(3rd pic) the “Parmesan “ was that weird stuff in the green and red shaker can on grocery shelves but definitely not “Parmesan “ 1st pic). It was served with a sweet sticky bread (2nd pic) and a side of margarine. There was a drizzle of balsamic reduction but no salt, pepper or olive oil. I asked the server for some olive oil and salt & pepper. She seemed confused, went in the back, searched around the bar and brought some canola oil and a S&P shaker with salt that I had to take the lid off and stick my straw in to break it up. (4th pic))
My water had something floating on top that looked like mouse poop and when I asked for a new one.. it was like it was a regular occurrence… no apologies or embarrassment.
The carnivore pizza and the seafood pizza were the saving grace. Nice, thin crust, wood fired and tasty.
However , this is no longer anywhere close to “authentic “ Italian. Prices are reasonable, pizza is decent and likely a great take out option when you’re looking for better than chain/franchise stuff.

Not good steak was like a steak from Walmart. More fat than meat. Cold dessert not warmed up. Harvey's is better.

Takes too long. Doing food deliveries and waited over 20 minutes... the best part is that there is no one eating here, so why the long wait time????
