island spice flava is so underrated!! the lady who works there was hella nice with giving me amazing recs such as the $15 daily special which came with rice and peas, coleslaw, macaroni, and she even let me get half half with both jerk chicken and bbq chicken since i wanted to try both!! 🙂 great quality and portions and i will be back to try more chicken flavours for the daily special and recommending to my boys haha

Since I visited towards the closing hours I couldn't try much of Thier options, although I was satisfied with my first encounter with Caribbean cuisine and it didn't disappoint.
For a change from heavily spiced and fancy looking food, this was the first time I found food so rustic and simple and yet so heart-filling . For people exploring different cuisines this is a must try.

I ordered BBQ jerk and was told by the first staff member there would be a wait, which was fine. A group of four came in after me and wanted the same thing, but a second staff member served them first, plating and cashing them out while my order was still waiting. The first staff member eventually plated and cashed out my food. We come here often, so this was our first bad experience — the food was decent, but I’m just curious why I received my food last.
Been going here for years foods good and usually the service is good to.
Was going to order jerk chicken dinners, dumplings, fish dinner. When I ask if I could get extra gravy on the peas and rice (she haven't started the meals yet) as the last few time I found the rice a little dry I got told we don't do extra gravy??? At that point I said don't worry about it and left if a place is going to get cheap on a little bit of gravy on a minimum 80 dollar order what else you getting cheap on. So walk over to roti hut instead

Really nice server, good customer service. Oxtail and goat were a little bland, and could have been cooked down longer for tenderness. The sides were delicious.

Went here first time even though I walked iver to this plaza almost my whole life lol.
As I went in there was a couple customers before me, I wasn't greeted or anything so thays normal if your in Scarborough.
Tried the jerk chicken and fried rice, with coleslaw juat wished they would put more rice for that price but I should have asked I guess.
The flavour and taste speaks for itself and was DELICIOUS!
Really well cooked and tender chicken goes excellent with the fried rice, and the coleslaw is perfect as you finish your meal to cool you down.
Overall very tasty food, I will be back to try more.
Go and try then out if you haven't and please thank you with your likes 👍😋

Nov. 3. 25. To charge a customer 20 dollars for this is downright rude and disgusting. There was not one piece of meat on these 5 pieces of bones and fat is beyond. While I understand that you have a job and don't care how do you please see at night stealing peoples money. Where is Leon he needs to know what is going on

Pre ordered fish and still had to wait which I didn’t mind. But the fish was dry, no gravy at all, on top of dry rice. The vegetables have no flavour or again gravy. It’s not even spicy (as requested) I come here all the time before I head on my 1.5 hour drive home. So today was really disappointing and a waste of money. The pepper shrimp also wasn’t cleaned.

Hi Island spice, im not sure what's happening at your Pitfield location but the past 2 days in a row, Friday and Saturday morning after arriving at 11am your opening hours, absolutely nothing was available from your breakfast menu. Waited for another 20mins and still left dissatisfied. Many of your regular customers were waiting and was told that there was no breakfast items ready. Secondly, if im going to pay $23 and change for a oxtail, please tell why, when I opened my box, only to noticed that there were literally 5 small pieces of oxtail in my order. Island Spice managers, you need to do better. Your standard is declining and this is coming from a regular customer.
Curry goat was dry, rice and peas were dry. The only good thing was the cabbage.
