Definitely a classic! We got their cheeseburger, which was $5.70 (double patty you add $2.40), veal on Kaiser ($6.50), cheese dog ($4.95), gravy on fries ($1.45) and the fountain drink ($1.45). Everything was pretty good, you can't really ruin a burger and for these prices, there's no room to complain. If you plan on getting the veal on kaiser, the veal isn't as thick as a burger but the flavour is there. The cheese dog was good but Johnny's burgers is better known for their burgers. They also told us that their hot dogs are a mix of chicken, beef, and pork so keep that in mind if you have any dietary restrictions. As for the gravy on fries...I loved it! We got the gravy on the side (which makes it easier to use the gravy on other food too) the gravy and fries were such a great combo! Overall, great staple in scarborough.

Superb! We bought a cheeseburger, hotdog and fries. It was really good. Highly recommended. They open late on Fridays and Saturdays too. Two thumbs up!

Loved it ! Came here first time , didn’t expected a burger to be damn good . Don’t like thought it would be an average tasting food as it was below $5 but waiting in line was worth it . Appreciate it !

The Scarborough burger institution is good but lacks the seating and nostalgia of Golden Star - its Thornhill equivalent.

I've been going here since my high school days, a bit over 25 years ago. This is definitely my go to spot and the BEST burger joint in town. Every time you line up, you'll see a nice diverse crowd. That's how loyal their clientele is. Everything tastes good and it's also very affordable. Highly recommended!
