Delicious shawermas! I did not have high expectations when we walked in and saw the place was empty. Everything tasted fresh. Would visit again!
I enjoy the chicken shawarma
Delicious shawarma with friendly staff and owner. High quality over all which is something you can’t say for many of the spots recently in Scarborough. But Scarborough is still known for being one of the best places to find food and this place fits in nicely among the best.
Best shawarma around and amazing service definitely check it out !!
had the beef shawarma.
very good. great serving size .
garlic sauce is amazing .
i have tried many shawarma places in the GTA . Johnnys is the best .
Went in here a few times months ago and quickly noticed when being served by any of the staff when I told the person what I wanted in my shawarma he was barely putting in the items I wanted on it. So I politely asked can you please add more as I initially asked for lots of humus, garlic with lots of tehina sauce. It took a couple of times of asking on every of the 3 items to be added the way I like my shawarma. This particular time the owner was serving my lady and I when he thought that it would be good for business to start to lecture us on how expensive the items were even though I only asked for 3 things in shawarma. Never asked for everything on the shawarma. Frankly, you're charging over $10.00 for a shawarma and a customer should be able to get their food without being spoken like a kid when purchasing food anywhere. Keep your point system as you'll never get my business again from me and from the people that were coming in with me as well.
- have been coming here for 10 years or so
-Best, shawarma in town.
-Amazing service!
-If money is not a problem for you, this is the best tasting shawarma hands down.
-Great quality meat, all those reviews questioning the freshness and quality is completely bizarre.
- to be honest though the portion has decreased because now they are standardizing using a scoop and the price has increased drastically which unfortunately made me start looking for other shawarma places.
- still giving them five stars because maybe the above point is out of their control, but that doesn't change The fact that for some people it's not affordable
Best Shawarma that I’ve eaten in a while. All veggies very fresh. Thank god we didn’t go to osmow’s
The best place to get shawarma

Used to be really REALLY good. Now with the sudden opening of so many shawarma places in scarborough, this will be my last thought. Decided to give it another shot the other day for a quick meal with my kidm Looked real good when worker was making it. Ate into it and it was tasteless. Wasnt bad. But no real flavour. Basic at best. Def wont be my first choice of shawarma and out of respect i wont name the other places. My son didnt enjoy it sadly. Prior to 2018/2019 this place was legit. Not sure what happened. And btw 2.99 for A bottle of water is robbery, inflation or not.
Good luck in the future Johnnys Shawarma!

I just went there to checkout the place as got recommended by many people but its devastating. I was just standing on the counter checking out the toppings and menu and saw rotten toppings right at the front. If you wish a good health please don’t eat from here.

We saw this place in a video on "Blog TO", so we drove through surprisingly heavy traffic today from our place in Newmarket to Johnny's. 48 km each way
The place is clean, mostly new and modern although there were glimpses of whatever store was there before.
Prices and portions were quite reasonable, competitive to other shawarma stores.
Service was friendly, although the way they make their shawarma is time consuming. God forbid if they had a lineup.
My wife had a fallofal which she found tasty. Unfortunately a few hours later she had an upset stomach, which might or might not be because of the food.
I had a chicken shawarma. Good portion, fresh, totally, completely tasteless. Nothing.
And stingy. A tiny scattering of lettuce, a bit of tomato, and a sliver of pickle. There was cucumber on the counter, which I was refused as its part of a salad dish. C'mon. 2 slices of cucumber is gonna break you? My wife also asked for 2 ingedients( I forget what, but common) and was turned down as they also were for the salad.
The decor, cash register, and computer technology was well thought out and up to date, but my shawarma was extremely dissapointing.
We love to go on drives to find out of the way non-chain eateries, so 50km is not too far for us. Unfortunately the food was so bland.
Would I go back? There are other shawarma spots in the city, several close to us , which are far better, so no,

Really nice spot! The food's fresh, tasty and actually a pleasant place we found today.
Shawarma was on point, the garlic sauce was consistent, tabbouleh ?
we're usually disappointed with most middle eastern restaurants but not Johnny's.
The owner's very friendly and we can tell he puts his all in the food.
Will definitely visit again!
