Apparently this restaurant has been open for 40 years (since the 80s).It was my first time trying German food. This also happens to be another restaurant I randomly Stumbled upon. It was indeed an interesting experience.I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

To those who disagree with the authenticity of the food, I disagree. Their schnitzels are REALLY good. And the menu is HUGE. The service seemed rather non interested in his job but the owner was super kind and ensured we had a good meal. I thought the food was better than The Prague and some would argue that The Prague is a more upscale restaurant. Perhaps the atmosphere is more upscale, but the food is better at Little Bavaria.I prefer the vibes WAY more at The Prague. Although Little Bavaria is great for an experience, we went on a Friday night (after COVID) and only one other table walked in. It was super slow and also, I felt overwhelmed by all the decor. Not sure it gets dusted enough. Feels a little dingy and claustrophobic for me, but it feels like it could be a novel experiment for some.

An old fashion traditional German food restaurant. My Jaegar schnitzel was great and my husband had the pork hocks, which he also thought was excellent. The restaurant is dated but I believe that adds to the charm and the atmosphere.

I was really looking forward to a tasty, filling meal. As it was in celebration of our anniversary I was quite disappointed that although it was filling the meal was quite bland. I think I would have enjoyed a pile of kraft dinner over the spätzle. Will definitely choose the sauerkraut over tge red cabbage next time.Only the mushroom gravy stood out but one cannot say they enjoyed a full meal based on only the gravy. My mistake was ordering the non-breaded, cut up shnitzel as my wife's was breaded and tasted much better than mine.Dessert was a shared apple strudel. Very nice of the chef to put on 2 "dollups" of vanilla ice and the piece of strudel was substantial and delicious.Parking: Not much to say.

Johnny (owner) is so kind. Everything is made in house. I go with a friend once a month and we have tried the entire menu, everything is good! The vegetarian schnitzel was surprisingly delicious and as a meat eater, I have ordered it several times. The washroom isn't accessible so just something to keep in mind.We will be back (monthly, like always)!

Not an authentic German restaurant. It may be decorated like an old fashioned german restaurant but that’s as far as it goes…Food was not authentic and did not taste like old school authentic German food. Very miserly portions as well. Restaurant was also a bit dirty. In addition, there was no hot water coming from the taps in the bathrooms, so one can only assume there is no hot water in the restaurant for washing dishes...We travelled a great distance and should have called before we came, as were expecting much more authenticity from this restaurant and it felt like false advertisement to my family.

Celebrated a birthday here and we had a large party of 25 so we called 2 weeks ahead and the restaurant had no problem accommodating us. I loved the food here nostalgic german decor and food. Simple menu but everything tasted great and only german beers on tap!

The decor feels like you're in "little bavaria". They did a great job to capture that. The food was just amazing! I forgot to snap a picture of my entrée because it was so delicious.Instead of spaëtzle, I got the potatoes. Potatoes were a bit dry, get the spaëtzle. The schnizel was incredible. I had the Tiroler Schnitzel. My spouse had the Rahm Schnitzel, which had chopped up schnitzel in the sauce, not as great, tasty though. We split the schnitzel between us and that made a good combo as we could have the mushroom schnitzel dipped in the mushroom sauce. They don't have kids meal per se. You can get the adult meal, and they can make it with a smaller meat portion for 75% of the cost. We instead opted for one adult meal for the two kids to share, and that worked out great!Parking is limited in the lot.Service was great for our large crowd! Had a great time!

Very good restaurant. We went a few months ago during the world cup and they had a big screen for the game. The ambiance was authentic and family oriented.Food was very good, big portions and authentic, we ordered different types of schnitzels .I recommend Little Bavaria to those who are into authentic German cuisine

New management is not even near the quality of the original Mr Eddy Schoenberg the finest schnitzel menu in Port Alberni

We were looking for good schnitzel and we visited this place. Free parking was very convenient. They have many schnitzel varieties and we picked two. They were delicious. Service was cordial and efficient. They have the place decorated with Bavarian and German things, symbols, and flags. We will definitely come back. If it happens that you like the Argentinean milanesa, you will enjoy the schnitzel variaty they have here.

I had the Bavarian plate with spatzle. It was like going back to Munich german.Everything was amazing, the smoky sausage, the lighty smoked pork chop and the perfectly cooked schnitzel. Just amazing. The out side doesn't look like much but the inside is great!

Exactly the vibe I was looking for to feel like I'm back in Europe on vacation. The schnitzel menu is two pages and come with so many classic sides. Cannot emphasize enough how cute the decor is, and very attentive staff!
