We had a fantastic experience at Upper Beaches Bourbon House! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and welcoming — you can really tell they care about their guests.

We ordered the gumbo and jambalaya, and both dishes were absolutely bursting with authentic Louisiana flavour. Rich, hearty, and perfectly spiced — it genuinely felt like a taste of the South right here in the city.

The whisky sour was also a standout...

1st experience. The parking lot was small and busy. The restaurant was not busy but had plenty of takeout. I had the lamb shank on mash with carrots and onions, an extra side of collard greens, and a wine. My meal was excellent. The lamb was fall apart render with a rich flavorful au jus. The greens were also very nicely prepared. The wine was just okay. The staff were very efficient and friendly. I'll be back to try some more of the menu.

So my wife has a habit of finding amazing food spots in the city, and this was no exception. We LOVED the gumbo, corn bread and jambalaya. We will definitely be back to try other things :) 10/10 🍻
