The lady yelled and insulted my mother for simply asking if the sushi was fresh, not even hostile, she was trying to make conversation… she’s usually nice but she got real defensive over a question about freshness so what’s that about

This place is great for a quick Japanese meal and makes your money go a long way.
They are in the Parkway Mall food court, so served kind of cafeteria style with only food court seating, but do NOT let that deter you.
This place serves freshly made food and the bento boxes and meals are a favorite of mine. You get a bunch of different items all for a reasonable price. It is a hearty meal and I am always left satisfied.
They also serve ready-to-go boxes of sushi kept cold on cooling pads, but they will happily make you something fresh if you are looking for something specific.
The service is great. They are always helpful, and so nice and respectful. They often don't accept credit card (so be prepared for that), but they never ask for or expect a tip - which just makes me want to tip them even more.
Everything related to salmon that they do is delicious. I haven't strayed too far from the various salmon items but everything I've tried so far has been great. The gyozas they serve are another favorite of mine and you can usually get an order of just those.
I 100% recommend.

Very rude and impolite lady. My friend went to get a few nakins because of having a runny nose. The lady refused, not that she is obligated but it's part of being human. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Maybe some places only cater to their own ethnicity.

I've been frequenting this place for a few months now, and the chicken teriyaki wrap is verifiably one of the best things that I love to grab on the way home! The food is always delicious for an extremely good price and the cook is very sweet and always prepares them with care. I know it's too much to wish that she never retires and this place never closes but I will treasure every meal I can get from here until that time comes!!

I love going to this food place. It's my go to once or twice a month every month for my family. 3 meals is under 50 bucks with a large amount of food. Don't believe me, go see for yourself.
Alice is amazing. (She is the cook) You can have a conversation with her and she is just so sweet. She understands the needs with food and allergies and does the best she can to accommodate custom orders.
My daughter always gets salmon bento and instead of sushi she gets the chicken dumplings.
My husband always get his chicken bento with sushi and bean sprouts. But his sushi is California rolls. No veggies.
For myself I love the chicken bento with the sauce and I get mine with no bean sprouts ,extra veggies and veggie sushi.
As you can imagine that's very custom compared to just ordering a simple bento.
Regardless Alice doesn't mind and does what she can.
I've gone to this mall and I've seen other food stores how they leave their food out. Reheat foods and don't clean properly. So you are getting food that's been prepared ontop of other foods.
You will not have that issue here. Alice is very clean and thorough. She scrubs her machine when opening and when closed. She cleans the vents. The walls and floors. I've never seen this cleanliness in any restaurant/food joint ive been to and when I asked her about it- she answered with- "I cook food for people! I would want people to eat food how i expect and want mine. Cooked NOT reheated, from a clean surface NOT dirty and fresh!"
With a person who attends to her kitcehn with care and food for customers with pride how could you not want to eat here?!
