The food use to be good but now a lot of the quality is gone down. The staff there is rude. Playing games about our order and said we never placed it when we called 15 minutes ago.

Based on reviews, Mr. Congee offers excellent food with great value. The congee is loved, and the afternoon tea special from 3-5pm is recommended, offering noodles, rice, or congee with a drink at a great price. The house fried rice is addicting, with each grain cooked perfectly, absorbing smoky wok hei aroma with an umami, salty and subtly sweet taste from fish roe, kani, and fried unagi. The oysters are coated in a thick gravy with ginger and scallion aromas. The pork chops are covered in a sweet and sour sauce. The cantonese chow mien has a large portion of crispy noodles with good sauce flavour. There is a daily dim sum 20% off all day and a Peking Duck special for orders over $50. Service can vary; one waitress was super sweet and recommended a smaller congee, while another took a dish away without asking. The restaurant is busy with regulars, and prices are very reasonable.
