My friends and I visited Mr. Sub on Saturday, October 19th, around 8:40 pm, about 20 minutes before closing, and unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected. We ordered three sandwiches, and from the start, the service felt rushed and dismissive.
The employee didn’t toast our sandwiches, which wasn’t a huge issue since we planned to ask for them to be grilled at the end. However, after quickly throwing the vegetables on—which made the sandwiches pretty messy—she immediately tried to wrap them up without even asking if we wanted any sauces. When we politely asked her to add sauces, she rolled her eyes and reluctantly reopened the sandwiches to do so. It was clear from her attitude that she wasn’t interested in providing decent service, and this made the experience uncomfortable.
We were patient and understanding, knowing they were preparing to close, but when we asked her to grill the sandwiches, she told us the grill had already been cleaned—even though it was still 10 minutes before the official closing time. We fully understand that staff want to clean up before closing, but it would have been helpful if we had been informed earlier that grilling wasn’t available. Instead, it felt like we were being rushed out and not given the service we paid for.
To add to this, we overheard one of the employees questioning why a new bag of bread was being opened, reinforcing the feeling that they were more concerned about closing up than serving customers.
In the end, we had to take the sandwiches home and grill them ourselves, which kind of defeats the purpose of grabbing fast food. While we didn’t want to make a scene, the overall experience was disappointing. It wasn’t just about the food—it was the attitude we were met with. We’ve been to this location before and never had an issue, but this visit really left a bad impression. I hope this feedback helps to improve the service going forward.

The service at this location is always wonderful. So friendly and prompt.
However multiple times in very recent visits the bread has been what I can only explain what tastes/feels like “day old”.
One time I even made a special inquiry to make sure that the bread was baked that day because of past disappointments.
Just not sure now I can trust to enjoy it going forward if I have to gamble with whether the product will be fresh or really not enjoyable.

Sorry guys worst Canadian club I ever had bread was doughy toppings were non existent probably cause phone in order so no one is watching asked extra mayo did not get first time with your spicy sub sauce terrible and you wafer thin bacon is a joke. step up your game!! if not Jersey Mike's will take a big chunk of your business!!

My family and I are previous owners of 2 Mr.Sub stores in Toronto and let me tell you, this store is excellent. I remember growing up making sandwiches for people and just having a great time with customers because we were in the community and everyone knew us; why am I sharing this? Because for the first time in a very long time I felt that moment again just through eating a sandwich today at this exact location. I ordered through skip the dishes and not only did they get my order correct down to the very last item and request, but they were not stingy and the bread was not old or frozen like some of these owners do to save costs. As a previous owner, I understand all too well the struggles of being a franchisee with a Mr.Sub, and everywhere I go I see many Mr.Subs failing because of poor ownership and it’s really sad. This place is doing it right and they deserve 5 stars. Who ever the owner is should be proud that they are one of the last of a dying breed; a quality Mr.Sub where you can feel nostalgic about enjoying your childhood favourites without having to deal with rude customer service or terrible food practice. Kudos to you good sir/ma’am.

This Mr. Sub always has such nice staff, the gentleman working today, and the younger gentleman working last time I came were both super nice and friendly. The staff is very attentive, there were three people in the store today and they were all amazing! Definitely recommend this Mr. Sub over the other locations I’ve been to in terms of customer service! They also have daily deals at the moment so check out my pictures to see which day is best for you!

Big Mr. Sub location, clean store and clean washrooms, plenry of tables for dine in, good sanwiches, was surprised to see people drinking beer in the store, they serve different types of beer at this location. Free parking in front.
