Food was good but felt over priced. Service was good and restaurant was quiet and cozy. Wouldn’t return again due to price point for the portion and quality of the meal.

My husband and I have ordered take out and delivery from this place many times and have never been disappointed. We decided to dine in about a couple weeks ago and we were greatly pleased to have exceptional service from the moment we walked through the door. Service was amazingly, atmosphere and ambience was cozy and warm and most importantly food was fresh and delicious. They had many vegetarian options for myself, so it wasn’t a struggle deciding what to eat. Desserts were delicious as well. Kitchen staff were pleasant and the head chef/ owner was a friendly and polite individual who answered all of our questions without hesitation. You guys are amazing and take hospitality to another level. Amazing restaurant with amazing staff! ❤️

Honestly this is one of the most genuine Japanese sushi houses in Scarborough. The food is fresh and quality. I’ve tried a lot of Japanese spots and this is by far the most delicious. I’m excited to try more rolls and side dishes very soon from here. It’s located in an odd area for them to be honest but I tell you people don’t be discouraged. It’s good. Thank you.February 29/2024I’m rewriting this review because people to know the dine in portion because last time was take out. I should give ten stars to this place because it has the best hospitality for Sushi in Scarborough. It is so underrated believe me. Our sushi chefs and servers was fantastic. The hospitality industry can a learn a lot from this place. Me and wife sat at the chefs table and it was a great experience. Intimate spot. The spicy lobster roll, hand rolls, tofu, tempura, etc… Was all delicious. Even the desserts were amazing. The his family owned restaurant should get more stars. Thank you again for the hospitality.

The $140 dinner for 2 is very good value for the quality and quantity of food. This is Michelin level food at a way more reasonable price with Scarborough portions. I have been to a three star Michelin restaurant and this place is not far behind. My date and I were both nearly full by the third course and we still had another course to go.Absolutely nothing in the four course meal is anything short of great. The miso soup surprised me the most, I have never had miso soup be a whole course rather than just a tasteless side, but we both thought it was one of the best dishes.Dietary restrictions: Most food items here contain alcohol.

The place is sort of small, I would recommend to Reserve a table ahead of time.Firstly, the Food was amazing…. But the menu is a bit confusing.. I wanted shrimp tempura, the server said it comes in 7 pieces and then I received (2) tempura fish… I brought this up to the waiter but was told I ordered the wrong one and couldn’t switch it… other than that, the food was amazing.. Chef Nobu i would definitely recommend.BEST SUSHI I HAVE TRIED !Chocolate soufflé for dessert which was also nice and hot/fresh.Everything on the menu, that we ordered, tasted very fresh.

Utterly flabbergasted by their scrumptious daily Bento-box luncheon offering. If ever there is a delightfully enjoyable, ‘ bang-for-the-buck ‘ meal in the GTA, Nakamori’s special daily luncheon bento box offering must rank at or near the top of such consideration. With no errands planned and no medical appointments to attend, my wife and I decided to take advantage of this rare freedom and have a relaxing outing. Watching a matinee Omnimax movie - “ Planet Earth “ at the Science Centre came to mind. The outcome was a most educational, entertaining and surprisingly awesome show.Hoping to carry-through the above unexpected surprise, we decided to revisit one of our past Japanese favorites - Nakamori for lunch. ..which was just a short drive along Eglinton East. And were we glad we did!For just $37, our lunch comprised of the following:- Arugula salad with ginger dressing and garlic toast square- Seaweed Miso soup- Bento box of:Shrimp, Pumpkin and Sweet Potato TempuraTeriyaki Chicken with mixed stirred fry vegetablesCherry Tomato and Mozzarella cheese salad with Yuzu dressing4 pieces of Nigiri SushiMaguro and Salmon SashimiTo the above, we also added for dessert the following:- Roasted Matcha Tea Creme Brulee- Chocolate SouffleLooking at the meticulous way the Chef dresses each single piece of the Tempura Shrimp with a dollop of Wasabi Mayo, the inclusion of ‘Toro’ in one of the nigiri pieces and augmenting a normally, stand-alone and bare, Teriyaki chicken piece with some fine looking stirred fry mixed vegetables, we know we were in for a treat……and were we right! The food was all lovingly prepared and indeed wonderfully delectable. The tempura, with the lightest of batter ( by GTA standard ) was piping hot and greaseless. The Teriyaki Chicken accompanied with a light but super-tasty sauce, the Sashimi pieces especially the Tuna were pristined fresh.....and Yes!.....that piece of melt-in-the-mouth TORO!!To finish off, our dessert provided us with a most memorable and tasty ending. We were surprised that this tiny, cozy and obscure Japanese restaurant could come up with one of the most enjoyable, freshly baked ‘ Chocolate Souffle ‘ we have eaten in the GTA for a long while. The Roasted Matcha Creme Brulee was another winner! The artistic plate presentation was another stand-out surprise! As I alluded above, for the quality and quantity of food we were presented. At only $37, this Japanese Bentobox lunch was more than a STEAL!!!I shall return!!

Incredible. Hubby and I finally got to trying this neighborhood spot out and we were blown away. Food was delicious, fresh and creative. Salmon sushi was all fresh and delicious, best we've had in Canada. Their gyoza ravioli is a creative treat! And the decor! Bathrooms are gorgeous and the restaurant feels like a true Japanese oasis in the heart of Scarborough.Oh! And I forgot to mention, I'm allergic to salmon (anaphylactic) so I rarely get to enjoy veg sushi without stress, staff were incredibly considerate and even tho my hubby ordered salmon at the same time (we've never done that before) I didn't even get a tingle. That means they have great food safety practices and an impeccably clean kitchen!!!We will be new regularsVegetarian options: Great tempura yam&avo roll, best I've had in canada

The one thing I had here that I've never had before was their tofu crouton. I thought it was a piece of toast but it turned out to be tofu. I enjoyed that a lot more than I expected.Fish is fresh here. Overall I had a pretty good experience here for lunch.
