Nirala Sweets and Restaurant

Tried the Halwa Puri and honestly, it was beyond my expectations. For $14.99, you get 2 puris, halwa, cholay ka salan, yogurt, and achar, and the portion is more than enough for one person.

The taste was excellent fresh, flavorful, and very well balanced. One bite and it genuinely took me back to Karachi. The halwa was spot on, the cholay had real desi flavor, and everything paired perfectly.

If you’re craving authentic Pakistani breakfast, this is absolutely worth it. Will definitely come back again.

HALWA PURI is the best I’ve had.
Also tried sweet Lassi and Nihari which was top notch but you can’t beat their Halwa Puri.

We ordered nihari and paya. Nihari is 10/10 but the paya gravy was not flavourful I had to ask for salt to eat paya.

BEST PURI CHOLAY IN THE GTA. the desi ghee in the halwa was top tier. 11/10 do try if you want that authentic desi taste.

Overall great experience.
Poori halva is exceptional, I must say the best in GTA. Just need to add Allo to halva poori nashta.
Chicken kabab were great , bhindi do payaza cold improve with better quality bhindi and tawa qeema was very good.
Over all great to know that Nirala been doi great and skilled people in the kitchen.

We went today for lunch we ordered butter chicken first time .. believe me it was tooo gud too flavour full wid great gravy we really enjoy it and we ordered Nihari also .. too yummy flavour full super sey bhi oper .. highly recommended.. if anyone wants to eat Nihari .. go to Nirala .. best Nihari ever in Toronto .. keep it up guys 👍.. Staff was too gud and very polite with customers and owner also very nice person .. see you guys soon

We tried Chicken Jalfrezi and honestly it didn’t meet our expectations. This is one of my favorite dishes and I’ve had it many times in Pakistani restaurants in the Middle East, where it’s usually full of flavor but here it was disappointing.

The chicken kebabs were decent, not bad, but also not very impressive compared to good Pakistani restaurants. On the positive side, the halwa puri was good and enjoyable.

Since Nirala is a well-known name in countries like Saudi Arabia, pakistan and uk and Canada I expected more authenticity and stronger flavors. This branch is okay overall, but it could really improve by being more authentic and true to its roots.

We, a group of Five, wanted to try Breakfast at Nirala. It was Poori, Halwa, Chanay. The place was packed, we were told 20 minutes wait time. So the Lady gave us a Roamer, took our Mobile #. Reception Ladies are very Polite, Courteous, Helpful. We were called within 15 minutes. Order 5 sets of Breakfast. Promptly served, nice & hot. Very good delicious food, reasonably priced. For a group of 4 or more, they charge 10% Service Charge. So we adjusted our Tip amount accordingly. Person at the Cash, probably the Owner, very welcoming.
Place is small and waiting area right on the Entrance. Very cold on a cold Winter day. Food is very Good, very nice Reception Ladies, Good Service!!!

I recently visited Nirala Sweets and Restaurant after coming from Montreal, and I must say it was totally worth it. I ordered the mutton paya, and it was absolutely top notch—rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, just like authentic traditional taste. The quality of food and the experience truly exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for real desi flavors, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

I had breakfast today, and after that my friends all felt like vomiting after 3-4 hrs. Most likely, it was because the puris were fried in old oil.
