Ok so either it was an off day for the resto or the quality has gone down drastically since the last time I came w/ friends a couple years ago??
There was so little beef in the bowls (didn't look like the same amount of protein as their menu pictures at all)!
My gf ordered thick noodles. These were the densest, hardest noodles I think we've tried in recent memory. I'm talking not only undercooked but also the dough was so firm that the noodles just didn't taste good. They were too firm and .... rubbery almost? I got classic thickness with my bowl and the noodles were fine (my gf traded with me halfway cuz she couldn't stand the texture of hers).
I would also have to echo the recent sentiments that the soup tasted watered down. I rmbr the broth having much more flavour on my last visit.
The portion sizes also seem to have decreased as well. The bowl was the same size as before (and they also filled it to the brim with soup), however, the amount of noodles and beef altogether was a LOT smaller.
The pan fried chicken dumplings we ordered were frankly, very underwhelming. The bottoms didn't get enough time in the pan as there was ZERO crunch and the filling wasn't seasoned enough as well. The best pan fried dumplings I've had squirt juice out when biting in. I'm not even taking that into consideration since these dumplings were already lacking crunch to begin with lol.
Service was very good. The lady who took our order and brought us the bill gave us 5% off cash discount.
Ironically, I recalled this location being BETTER than the location at Yonge and Sheppard. Omni Palace is undoubtedly better if this visit was any indicator. The resto was also nearly empty when we came during prime dinner time on a thurs. Only 3 tables were occupied which is a red flag to me given how bustling this place used to be during peak dinner hours.
Based off this dining experience, I'm hesitant to return again. My friend usually only ever orders the stir fried lamb noodles when he comes here. Maybe he's on to something...
Amazing food tender beef, with tasty noodles enough to feed my soul 😋
Great noodles!
Food wasn’t good, service was worse. The lamb skewers were dry, tough and cold. The dumplings were tiny and greasy. Broth tasted like cheap instant noodles, at least the veggie toppings were ok, noodle average.
Servers had no courtesy. Completely ignored us while standing around. Once we finally got one of the lady’s attention, she shouted at us from across the restaurant instead of coming to our table.
Very good service, quick and friendly waitress, great value and portions for the money!
We visit Omni every trip to Toronto without fail. My favorite are the dumplings and chicken chow mein but you can't go wrong with anything you order there!
Bestest place for authentic halal Chinese. Too good!

Ordered the double meat beef chow mein on Uber eats and a jar of their chili oil. I ordered noodles that were way too big(they have pics of the noodle size on their menu, make sure you check before you order!) regardless the food was delicious, the noodles have a great chew and the beef is very tasty and tender, perfectly seasoned. No pics because I inhaled the meal. Very happy, I think this is gonna be my new go-to spot, excited to try the rest of the menu.

I want to vomit. I received a delivery order from here. What started out as a tasty meal ended up with me finding a roach in my food. I already ate more than half. I’m disgusted. I’m sorry, I know this review can make a negative impact but this really isn’t acceptable.

Food is good ( if and when you can get it )
, staff is not easy to deal with but I noticed the lady behind the counter did not wash her hands after mopping the floor,
Kitchen looked fairly clean,
Prices are a little steep but that’s not the main issue for me,
Take note that opening time ( 11:00 ) does not mean anything at this place, nothing is ready at that time, you will have to wait 20-30 minutes for your food,
Why would you open your restaurant for customers if you can’t not serve them at that time and to boot the lady at the counter is very rude about it ,
Never going back there.

The food is fantastic. There are things that are a must to try besides the noodles and soups, the garlic wings are amazing, the beef clip buns are a must have with their chilli oil, and their lamb fried rice is fantastic. This place knows how to do lamb very well. Food is absolutely delicious.

Nice, friendly place for handmade noodles. We don't really eat spicy but still enjoyed the food here. I'd probably come back to try more things.

I dined here years ago before the rebrand. The noodles are still awesome - great texture (chewy and some bounce). Broth is light yet flavorful. Decent amount of meat and plenty of scallions. HK milk tea is alright - the milk started to separate from the tea shortly after. It's premade and they just add ice. Seaweed salad was okay too - nothing special. Overall, decent spot for a quick lunch.
