Horrible service, used bleach to clean floors while we were eating, below average food.

If I could rate 0 for service, I would.

I’ve been coming to this place for 25 years, since I was 5. I used to love this place and wanted to bring my kids because I came here growing up. It’s sad but I will not be coming here ever again.

I brought my toddler and baby for the first time and the service was horrible. When the server gave us our pho she put it in the table hard and made it slide almost spilling, same with the hot tea pot. You would think you would be more careful if you clearly see I have 2 young kids. When placing our order as the owner took it my husband asked “can we also get two small bowls?” (for our babies), no eye contact, no response, just no acknowledgment. She didn’t even up giving us the 2 small bowls.. so we asked the server once our food arrived and she doesn’t say anything, no eye contact but she brought us the bowls after, handed it to us without saying anything. It was just horrible service. If they were busy I would let it slide but there was only 2 other customers.

If you’re white or speak their language, they’ll treat you a lot better. When I used to come as a kid they were nice but that’s because my dad speaks Viet. Anyways, when we were leaving a white guy walked in and the owner goes “Hii, happy new year!” And was so cheerful. It really just sucked to see how differently we were treated. When we walked in our greeting was “how many?”.

While we were eating the server was mopping the floor and clearly using a bleach cleaning solution. The smell was so potent, I was shocked. People are eating and I have my babies here, why are they exposing everyone to chemicals? We were there at 4pm..Shouldn’t sanitizing the floors happen when you’re closed ?

The food has also changed, the quality is very low now. I ordered the pho with beef tripe and it was so dried up. The broth was not flavourful either. So disappointed.

Service is fast but there's nothing special about the food. The beef in the Pho tasted odd like it's been defrost in a hurry

Hate to say this, but this place seriously needs hospitality training — especially their owner! Such greedy service!

I’ve been coming here for years and recently visited again after all the COVID commotion. We were seated outside, and it wasn’t even busy when we arrived. We ordered our regular pho noodles, and when it was time to pay, I went inside to settle the bill. They only accept debit or cash (no credit cards).

The owner was watching me as I paid and noticed I pressed zero for the tip. Mind you, my friend and I were planning to leave our tip on the table (outside) so it would go directly to our server. Then the lady says, “How about tip?”

I told her we planned to leave it on the table for our server, but she insisted, “You can put it here.”

I still left the cash tip and said thank you before walking away — but did I hear any appreciation, any warmth, any gratitude from her? Nothing!

Honestly, I felt pressured to tip, even though it’s completely my right to decide. This place is lacking basic hospitality — sadly, a common issue in some restaurants. For the record, I always leave a tip, especially when the service is good or beyond amazing. But after this experience, I felt forced — and it came across as pure greed.

They don’t deserve continued support from the community!

The food itself is good — I’ll give them that. The soup base is flavourful. But after this experience, I won’t be coming back. There are plenty of other Vietnamese restaurants in the GTA that serve just as delicious pho, like Kim Dinh Vietnamese Restaurant (9570 McCowan Rd) or the one at Midland & Finch Plaza.
