Experienced their catering at an event. They offered live appam and kothu roti stations. The appam was very dry. For the kothu, they put very little mutton and overloaded on spice and gravy. When customers asked in confusion about whether it was veg or mutton, due to the lack of mutton pieces in the food, they responded very harshly and derogatively. The two servers were not native-Tamil speakers, and spoke to Tamil customers very rudely. Unless you want to sacrifice your self-respect for such food and service, I highly recommend that you choose elsewhere.

Their mutton rolls are tasty but very few mutton in it.
March 24 ,it was a horrible experience ! I bought 3 buriyani on last Friday, it was so bad and the rice was spoiled already, ( always make sure before you serve to the customer that the food is in a good condition )
This is a good takeout restaurant and good customer service. Could be a little cleaner, would have a better appeal to the restaurant. Ordered the egg appam and Mutton khottu roti. Both dishes were good and freshly made.
Food is okay , but beware no one in kitchen wears mask
When it comes to defining a restaurant as a 'hole-in-the-wall', this place is exactly that. As a matter of fact, it has become my first stop on my way to Toronto for one particular rare find that goes by many names - Appam to the south Indians, Hopper to the Sri Lankans, and some people even refer to them as idiyappams. For a food with so many names, they are such a rare find because they have to be eaten as soon as they are made. It's a bowl shaped carb that is spongy in the center and crispy on the sides and is generally made with fermented rice batter.Ruchi takeout definitely has the best - they are so good that even though it is a takeout restaurant, the owner knows that I stand and eat them inside so he doesn't even close the curry containers. The Hopper goes excellently with either the chicken curry, mutton curry or tomato curry! There are three kinds of hoppers here - the plain hopper, the milk hopper where a touch of coconut milk is added for sweetness and texture and lastly the egg hopper where a whole egg is cracked into the center. All delicious but I usually get one plain hopper and two milk hoppers. At the end of my quick meal, I generally get a madrass coffee to go with a laddoo (a sweet ball-shaped dessert that is made with either gram flour, black sesame, or semolina flour).Go get your hopper on!
Vegetarian options: Its south indian and sri lankan food so there are tons of vegetarian options.
Kid-friendliness: They are really nice to kids!
Parking: Lots of parking in the plaza
