I wish I could give them 0 starWe party of two waiting in a line to order our food with 5 more customers behind me. The lady behind the counter was busy packing split the dishes orders and completely ignoring the customers in the store. She was even avoiding eye contact. One thing I realized there, the most ignored thing in this store is a “customer”.This facility is a unit with few tables a counter to take orders and a kitchen with 4 ladies working inside.Uncleaned tables, no water served , you need to buy water bottle. The raw material is stored in the way to the washroom and in front of the washroom doors. You have to cross food material and big cooking pots and some hanging wires before you can reach the washroom. The washroom is dirty like sulabh shauchalay. not friendly for wheelchair at all.If this facility inspected, it will fail inspection. it is a disgusting place to go an have your food.We ordered two thali. Waited for 35 mins to get our thali. Finally after two reminders we got the thali. Total Mismanagement, a party of 5 came after us got their thali before us. Then we realized there is a lady with small girl with her waiting for her take out order for longer than us ( she said she is been waiting for 45 mins ). The pics on the menu card shows proper thali but the thali you get is in disposable container. The food was hot, the rotla was soft and freshly cooked. The thali was missing papad and pickle as they show it in the menu card. Wanted to check with them but no one was at the counter so we decided to eat.Coming to the food.I had to remind my self while eating that we are eating Gujarati thali. The good taste is average or below average. I had Gujarati thali my entire life, this one is the worst among all.The worst thing is I had a diarrhea the next day. This place is waste of time and money. Many other options for thali availableThink twice before visiting here
Not sure if they are really licensed. Ordered chaat pani puri and ragda patties. It was stale and ragda patis had bubbles of being rotten. They need to be looked at by the City Health department.
Very tasty authentic Gujarati food! We were pleasantly surprised by the homely quality food of the sabjis and snacks. Warm service as well. Only big negative is the use of disposable cutlery and no recycling. This needs to change. Otherwise awesome good with decent prices
I have never seen anything like it Not fresh food, simply grocery store pre made frozen food, look at the naan plain white not even cooked, now a days freshco selling them for $2.99 for 5 set naan..roti so cheap, can’t even eat it so hard and nd too much oily unhealthy food.. After draining oil with strainer Paneer taste good right amount of spice.
I went for Fafda Indian Gujarati made form Chick pease fried item , it was delicious and amazing ! They are good in service every visit ! Thank you
The food was good. They made fresh chapatis aswell at around 10.45pm.But they kept their food storage near washroom areas.Flies were flying around there.?

OMG was the first thing I said when I saw Athela Marcha and churma ladoo. It had been so long since I had such a good gujarati meal. I highly recommend getting the Thalis. I recommend the farsan items too, but I have only tried their butter locho. MUST VISIT
3 stars are for their food only... both kathiyavadi and Gujarati thali were amazing in taste. It gave me nostalgia of thalis from back home. Rotla, khichdi, sev tameta, ghee gol... tremendous.... you need to be really patient when u visit this place... we got our food delivered after one and half hour of waiting on table... I found wait was worth considering their food. They were clearly shortage of staff for serving all their dine in customers as well as take outs...
Orders Samosa, Panipuri and Dhokla. Everything taste was really great !! Samosa was very fresh, tough to get Samosa so fresh and delicious anywhere in Toronto.Panipuri and Dhokla was very good too.Planning to visit next time for Thali here?
Restaurantji Recommends
I went to this place recently for the first time and tried their Samosa Chaat and Vadapav. The food was quite good for the price and staff was very friendly too. I will definitely go again to try other things and will update it here if need be.PS: For my Pav Bhaji I asked for dry bun but usually it is buttered and well done
Ordered kathiyavadi thali, it was tasty. Waiting time was longer so giving 4 star. Food was good and fresh.
The quality has deteriorated tremendously. Ordered fried rice, noodles and khaman. Everything smelled sour and tasted stale. Seems like they gave 2 days old food. When I called to inform the restaurant, the person who picked up the phone responded by saying ‘oh I don’t work in the kitchen so I am not sure’ this response is what made me write this review, being in a consumer service industry myself, I understand how important customer feedback and satisfaction is. The chef in there should be tasting everything before sending any order out! Highly disappointed and never going to order again from here. This was one restaurant that me and my husband ordered from frequently but they have lost our business for sure
The best place to experience the Hospitality of an Indian host in Toronto! This review is not just for the wonderful food but also for the Manager, Raj.He treats everyone with the utmost respect, love and care. He is very kind and it seems that he has a lot of repeat customers who know him very well too!We went all the way from Downtown but the visit was truly worth it. Their Kathiyavadi thali reminded us of authentic Gujarati cuisine that we used to have back home in India. I can't stop showering praise for the garma garam (piping hot) bajra rotlas that were served with a dash of ghee.We are definitely coming back for more.
This is the first time I tried authentic Gujarati food and it was amazing! We ordered the big thali and loved every single item. The sabji was nice and spicy too. I’m for sure going to be a returning customer.
