Business practice not good! Bought 8 mooncakes and 2 slices of cake today. I was charged 13%hst for the cake as if I just bought the 2 slices of cake alone, disregarding the 8 mooncakes I bought together in one transaction.

This baked goods are top notch. I like pretty much everything I've tried from them.
There is some work that can be done in terms of atmosphere. I noticed that all the workers wear nitrile gloves which looks unhygienic because they don't change them between tasks. They go between handling food to doing checkout with the same gloves. Gloves are protection for your hands. They don't magically stay clean. Once you handle the cash register with the gloves, the gloves become dirty and you should remove them and wash your hands or change your gloves. Also the aprons the workers wear look grungy with visible grime and dirt like they aren't laundered regularly. Details like this are important in a place serving food. I think if management improved on this and just generally paid closer attention details it would really further elevate this place.

Bakeries are literally one of the only businesses exempted from charging for bags... I've just bought about $50 worth of baked goods and then they tried to charge me $2 for a bag to take it home... not $0.05 or $0.25 but $2!! - carrying their logo - which used to be seen as free advertising,

This bakery puts a modern spin on traditional buns, and the results are absolutely worth trying. One standout is the Longjing Tea Cake—a baked, cream-free treat with a beautifully aromatic Longjing Tea filling and a soft, slightly chewy mochi center. It’s lightly sweet, making it a perfect match for a cup of Longjing or any green tea.
Another favorite of mine from here is their Hojicha Latte—phenomenal in flavor and offered at a great price. I usually ask for it less sweet, and it comes out just right. The temperature is ideal for sipping right away, with the toasty and roasted tea flavour leaving a comforting warmth on the palate.
The parking lot is also usually not too busy most of the day, making it very easy to park and hop in and grab a quick few items and head right back out. There's also designated parking for online orders where they will bring out the items (haven't tried it because I always like going in personally to check out what they have.)
Rude staff because in front of them I asked them about a worm I got from food. Bad place.

Their cakes are high quality....however, I have issues & disappointed with their $20 gift card as it cannot be used with your St Germain VIP card for the usual 10% discount & get points....also, with gift card, you will be charged regular price on discount items. Shouldn't be a gift card treated as cash????!!!! Unreasonable & NOT fair
