Masala Chai was watery and only tasted like hot water and a few spices. After one sip I dumped it. I expected a real chai.
I ordered chicken biryani around 3:30 PM and ate it during my break at 6:30 PM. Unfortunately, it was already spoiled and had a terrible smell. It was clearly not fresh. The taste was also disappointing it was overloaded with spices and did not have a balanced flavor at all.
Other dishes like the chicken curry and butter chicken tasted decent and had better flavor. However, the portion sizes are very small compared to the price. Overall, the quality and value for money need improvement.

I tried samosas, sweets, and snacks. Not recommended. Not tasty, not good quality. I asked to taste some savory snacks, and they said no to trying the sweets.

I tried their veg samosa with Chana sauce and aloo tiki - this was the worst I have had, samosas were not crispy and undercooked, Chana were also undercooked and very hard to eat, aloo tiki were the most terrible ones. I won’t be going there to eat again.

Samosa King is a well-known casual Indian restaurant located on Finch Avenue East in Scarborough. It has become a favorite local spot for people who love classic Indian snacks and meals that are both tasty and affordable. What makes Samosa King special is its focus on traditional Indian favorites, especially crispy samosas — deep-fried pastries filled with seasoned potatoes, peas, and spices — that many customers enjoy as a snack or part of a larger meal.
Beyond samosas, the menu includes a variety of other Indian dishes like biryani, curry, rolls, and sweets, offering something for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian tastes. The restaurant is known for being busy during peak hours, often with lines forming as people wait for their orders, which shows just how popular it has become in the community.
Samosa King’s appeal comes from its combination of authentic Indian flavors, budget-friendly prices, and a casual atmosphere that makes it ideal for quick takeout or a relaxed meal with friends and family. For many locals, it’s a go-to place when they’re craving South Asian comfort food in the heart of Scarborough.

Poor service and the place doesn't accept credit cards, which u don't find out till u get to the counter

Extremely poor customer service. The male employee at the cashier on this visit was rude, unprofessional, and completely incompetent. He demanded to see and physically inspect the payment card before allowing the customer to use the POS terminal, which is unacceptable and invasive.
They refused to accept credit cards altogether and would only take Interac for purchases over $5. When my companion’s item totaled less than that, he refused to hand over the item unless the minimum was met. When we asked him to add another item to meet the threshold, he instead applied an arbitrary $1.50 surcharge.
This behavior appears to prioritize avoiding merchant bank fees at the expense of basic customer convenience and fairness. Management and ownership should seriously be investigated for these questionable practices.
On top of that, the parking situation is awful—extremely limited and poorly managed. There was also an insane lineup stretching from the store entrance all the way to the other end of the parking lot, making the experience even more frustrating and chaotic.
To make matters worse, the food was just as disappointing. The samosas were extremely poor quality, clearly not fresh, and frankly unpleasant to eat.
Overall, a terrible experience from start to finish. Strongly recommend staying away from this store at all costs.

Cold food bad rude staff . Bought it was only nearby so but not good staff and cold food .
Food is amazing but line up takes half n hour or more just to get anything. If there was a way to process it up that would be even better. This place doesn't need recommendation. They are very good.
