Shu Kingdom's hot pot experience is very unique in that the presentation is by far one of the best I've had. The food was very good but I would say it's a bit pricey for an a la carte menu. I find it difficult to rate it a 5 simply because there is so much competition in the nearby area from other hot pot restaurants. Make sure to get the skewers boat!

Shu Kingdom offers an excellent variety of meats and other menu items with classic flavourful broths for a delicious and consistent hotpot experience. There's definitely a little bit of fanfare to their food - see the decorative skewers on a boat (came with dry ice) and a vertical standing meat wheel, but the food quality stands on its own. The broths, which we picked tomato and pork bone, were delicious in their own way and really ties the experience together. We did not opt for any of the spicy options but I'm sure they are fantastic as well. The restaurant was well-decorated, though the lack of dividers at face height and the position of tables meant you could be looking at diners to your side face to face. Ordering was done quickly via mobile and it was easily accessible.

The environment was nice. The double flavor pot base was fine, the spicy side was a little too salty to my liking. The ribeye crowns were excellent. The beef chicken gizzard skewers were average, the beef was little to tough. The beef omasum, the beef tongue, the lamb and the tofu skin were fine. The winter melon, the crown daisy, watercress and the oyster mushrooms were fresh. The baby octopus were a little chewy. The fried crispy pork were good. The pumpkin pies were very delightful. The service was excellent.
