This place and I got a corn soup these ppl. I thought this was Caribbean corn soup not some mixture of whatever with some corn - highly disappointed - it is very thick and not real Caribbean corn soup. They gave me the wrong patties. Very disappointed as uber is not cheap. Food is not edible

Food quality (soups + porridges ) have really gone down hill at this location . This is the 3rd time coming from Newmarket and purchasing a soup /porridge and I was not happy with the quality of soup/porridge I received . Today I tried 4 different items prior to buying the red peas wasn’t even soup it was thick as heck , the chicken soup had the froth and fat from the chicken floating and sitting at the top of the sample I was given . I had to spit it out . It was flavourless and horrible . Very dissapointed today . I ended up opting for a cornmeal porridge which I did not even end up finishing . There was clumps in it , and you can taste the grains of the cornmeal heavily an the sugar /sweetner was overrrr the top —way way to much of it . Upon entering the restaurant The person who cooks /prepares the soup was sitting in a chair visibly seen at the front by customers in and out and she was seen peeling the vegetables . It didn’t look professional at all . I have frequented this location , even exited off the hiway prior to going home in a snowstorm today and I was HIGHLY DISSAPOINTED . Not to mention the thicker girl who served me , always with the natural hair (blond at the ends ) rude rude rude 0 customer service .

I’m not really the type to leave reviews especially bad ones but I used to order from them while I was at work and every time they would get my order wrong or the food isint cooked properly or if I ordered something, And they didn’t have it they don’t notify you. And they will just send you something else . always something to the point where I had to stop ordering And every time you speak to somebody about it, they have an attitude. No professionalism.

Today is a 1 star. I ordered the red pea soup, normally it tastes great but today was off. I had two large fat pieces in my soup. It was disgusting! The smell of fat was so strong I couldn't even drink the broth or enjoy the carrots or spinners. Money in the garbage, what a waste. Please teach the staff to leave out the fat!

The food is already amazing but their customer service is excellent. There was an issue with my order but it was fixed quickly and professionally. Can't say enough good things about this location.

*update* I don't think this place can get worst, now they barely have things in stocks, barely any item available, like who is running this kitchen and how are you so bad at up keeping your inventory? You're that busy that you can't keep up with demands?

I dont think you care to train your employee nor do you care about the customers, many times I've try to ordered food it was ran out 1 hour after the store open, how does this happen? Plenty of time soup is either way too thick and too salty or its watery and with 0 flavour like they just water down some soup to sell more. I don't think you actually care about your customers.

Food is really good especially the red peas soup and fried dumplings…. They do not sell halal which is a bonus, but any day they do I will stop going. They are a Jamaican(Caribbean) restaurant & not Muslim so it would be greatly appreciated if you keep it that way and don’t sell meat that has been prayed over by any (unknown god) !!!

The food is phenomenal. It reminds me of spending summers with my grand parents in the Caribbean. What I don’t like is they run out of menu items OFTEN! It doesn’t seem to matter when. I get maybe late on a Saturday before they close for a day they might not want to make too much and have it go to waste but at 1:30 on Monday you are already out? It would get five stars if not for this. Also, fix the website. It’s a mess and looks like a child made it.

Got red pea soup, curry goat patties, and 2 festivals

My husband loved the soup!
I tried it but it just isn’t for me
The festivals are HUGE, fluffy and super fresh
The curry goat patties, OMG! Best thing ever!
Everything is super super fresh and delicious
Will DEFINITELY keep coming
