This food was better when it was on Birchmount I came on my lunch break and this was the worat food ever I don't know how a restaurant is service left over foods and warming it up, that's disgusting and shouldn't be aloud.

Jerk chicken cold and just bad. Never a good look when you see the server nuking the food in the microwave before serving you. Patty was way too doughy and dense. Also terrible. Pasta salad only thing worth getting at this pace. Do yourself a favour and skip this joint. Lady working there is an angel however but that’s the only thing this place has going for them. Prisoners would complain about this meal

Got there before opening woman was super to allow me to order, dumplings wasn't hot food as I thought would have been in warmer seems like I got left over if it's breakfast, she was putting food, and cashier at the same time, porridge I didn't eat blessed someone else 😅

whole place is a vibe. everything tastes like a home cooked meal. We discovered this place on Too Good To Go and are impressed enough to come back even without the app. Service was a bit curt but it wasn't rude or needlessly slow.

I ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas. The chicken was moist and flavorful. I also enjoyed the coleslaw; however, the rice was hard and needed more cooking.

This review is for the Spice Is Rite located at: 1872 Kennedy Road. The woman behind the checkout counter provided atrocious customer service, so much so that not only will I no longer be going back to this location, but I also won't be going to the location at Lawrence Avenue. I would give a zero for this review, but unfortunately it's not an option.

I love the restaurant's ambience. It has a Caribbean/Jamaica/Raggae team. It is beautiful and decorated with informative pictures of black history. It was clean and quiet when I visited.
I made a TGTG order and came to pick it up. I met a man who welcomed me warmly. It took a few minutes to get my food, but it arrived fresh, hot, and tasty. I must commend them on the quantity of the food (rice and peas) and the amount of the chicken for a TGTG order!

I have to say I have tried a lot of jerk chicken places all over Toronto and this hidden gem would be one of the best I’ve had. This place has an amazing atmosphere friendly staff and the most incredible jerk chicken I regret not knowing about this place earlier 🤩
