Classic breakfast spot. So original, they don’t offer Eggs Benedict. Staff is very friendly. Kind of like the one’s portrayed in a TV sitcom where they have everyday conversations with you while hustling and bustling getting your food. Their prices are very good! A big breakfast with 3 eggs with seasoned hash browns, bacon, peameal bacon, sausage and ham will require less than $15 from you. Definitely recommend.

Had the special breakfast and it was really good. Honeydew melon was a nice touch.
Great staff and a lot of friendly elderly that are fun and welcoming. Great burger has some history of movies shooting taken in it.

Ted’s Restaurant is an old-school diner that never loses its charm. The food is hearty, comforting, and always hits the spot — perfect for breakfast or a casual meal any time of day. The service is friendly and quick, and the atmosphere has that classic retro feel that makes you feel right at home. It’s simple, consistent, and exactly what you want from a local spot that’s been around for years.

Been coming to Ted’s for as long as I can remember. Always been amazing service and food. The atmosphere is nostalgic- which explains why it’s featured in so many films and shows. All day breakfast for the win!

Searching for a well known breakfast joint nearby the Toronto Zoo and this popped up.
Parking is limited in the front but side street parking is available.
Staff is friendly and efficient, knowledgeable of the menu and so on.
Atmosphere is cozy and down to earth.
Food itself is lacking unfortunately. The potato’s were greasy and mushy. The meats lacked flavour and the pancakes felt rubbery. Coffee was fantastic though.
I would like to give this place another chance, but as of right now I cannot recommend to friends and family.
