The coffee/lattes are mediocre. Flavour is barely there because they fill more the half of the cup with milk. First he put cold milk into the cup and then he added the espresso then he went back and frothed more milk to put on top?? Why not just do it at once…that’s why the lines are long. I do like their selection of gourmet goods though, unique things to try. As per the atmosphere, it felt very cult-like and uncomfortable, almost like a free masons gathering in there.

Finally I got my coffee in a porcelain cup and a plate for my scone. Hallelujah! So happy, that was a reason for us to rather avoid this beautiful gem. We love the cafe with all their treats and coffees but all in take out made me crinch everytime we visited. So happy they changed to produce less garbage. THANK YOU Birchcliff.
I was around the area and wanted to have a cortado. I chose this cafe bcuz of its high ratings.
I would say everything about it was good but the cortado. It tasted more like black coffee with milk. It was served in a pretty big glass (latte or flatwhite size), and the espresso to milk ratio was not right.
However, the atmosphere is lovely. They have plenty of seats inside and a nice patio.
So, it might be good for hanging out with family or friends, but the coffee is below average.

The Birchcliff Cafe is one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood. I make it a point to stop by every weekend for a delicious breakfast and a cup of their fantastic coffee before heading to the beach with my dog. Despite the usual lineup, the friendly and welcoming staff always make the wait worthwhile. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, with lovely decor that adds to the overall experience. The outdoor seating is a huge plus, allowing me to enjoy my meal with my dog by my side. This cafe truly stands out as a unique gem in our community. Highly recommended!
