Food tastes good , service also nice i would tell its a hidden gem but the problem is that ; i dnt kn it might be the chef the rice was over cooked and then beans were cold, so horrible! But the thing is that it tastes soo good even better than some renowned hakka place.

I like trying new places, saw their ad whilst driving by. It was Wednesday at about 1.30 pm. The place was empty only a girl came out from the kitchen. All the counters were empty. Against my better judgement I thought I would give it a try. I ordered Chilli Chicken for $9.99+tax. She put some white rice in the container told me it would be 10minutes. The food was absolutely tasteless. There were some chicken peicesNo chilies, onions, peppers . To call it Chinese Hakka food is a same. The cook I understand is Tibetan. He should go try some Chinese food at a better place. Try Luckys Hakka. I would advise anyone not to go thereParking: Lots of parking availableWheelchair accessibility: Yes no

Ordered a few items from here..fried Momo's(chicken, veg), chilli chicken, veg chow mein and beef fried rice. Flavors were good. Prices decent, comparable with other Hakka chinese spots. Got a bottle of brisk ice tea which I noticed was expired when I got home by 4 months. Not a big deal but thought I'd mention. What sets this place apart is that they have Momo's and would bring me back.Parking: In a shopping plaza

Tenzen is the HAKKA GUY! Amazing customer service, will make your order fresh and to your liking. Went to his restaurant during a snow storm and he made us feel welcome by providing us fresh made tea. Amazing person and amazing food. 11/10 !! Recommend to all

First and foremost the service here is top like others have said. I ordered the chilli chicken and Hakka chilli wings and it was amazing. Will definitely be going back to try the Momo's. The owner also threw in free rice for me!

I first tried Hakka Guy when they were operating out of a ghost kitchen up the street. I really enjoyed their momos and chili chicken. They now have a brick and mortar location in a plaza down the street. I ordered over the phone for pickup and everything was ready at my specified time. The man on the phone also asked about spice levels which was considerate. The deep fried momos had a nice crispy outside. I also tried their steamed momos with butter chicken sauce. That was a really good combination! Who doesn't like dumplings and butter chicken sauce?I make a point of ordering chili chicken at every hakka restaurant I visit. I'm talking about iconic spots like Fredericks, Yeuh Tung, Royal Hakka Chinese etc. Hakka Guy's version ranks in my top 3. Their manchurian beef is pretty good too.You can't go wrong ordering these items as they've been on the menu for a while.

I will start by saying that the guy behind the counter was super friendly and welcoming. He made us some complimentary momos as we did not know what they were. Really liked them and appreciate the generosity of him giving our large group a sample.I ordered Manchurian #2 and I did not care much for it and neither did my Indian buddy.I will try the place again because the other food may be much better to my taste. This many great reviews means it’s certainly worth another try. Also the friendly service, etc was the kind of thing that earned them a second chance.Once I try again I will update my review.

Wow!! Hands down THE BEST Indian-Chinese food I have tried in Scarborough. This is the 2nd time we ordered. The Momos were so juicy and fresh. Earlier we had tried Chilli Momos and now we tried old school Chicken Steamed Momos. Oh man, the tastiest Momo(I would say in the same league as the Himalayan Kitchen Momos which is the Gold Standard of Momos in Toronto) I have ever had other than HK in Downtown. The Chilli Chicken was so delicious!!! We have ordered veg Hakka noodles both times and they were some of the freshest and tastiest noodles ever. We are super critical on flavour, ingredients and freshness and this place is just unbelievable!! The MOST important trait of fresh food is the aftertaste. The food was non greasy and you don’t feel stuffed. I really do hope they don’t decrease their quality as they grow since it’s so important to not loose your USP.

Halal but not a Muslim owned restaurant. I had been meaning to check this place out for over a year because of some social media posts that I saw. It is located just off of Morningside in one of those business office suite strip buildings. The sign where you enter for The Hakka Guy will be a visible sign that'll say "CRAVE Food Hub". When you enter, ring the bell which is off to the left on the glass window. It's like a pickup place for a bunch of different small restaurants. The Hakka dish prices are on par with most Asian restaurant dishes. On average $10 per dish. The momos were a little bit pricey at $12 for 7 pieces with super tiny sauce containers. I appreciate here that the restaurant offered white rice with the chili chicken but you could upgrade to a fried rice for just $4.99 which was cost effective for me. For some reason I was expecting it to be extremely flavorful but the flavor was a little bit on the light side. It's called The Hakka Guy but the flavors were not as strong as I have become used to with a lot of hakka and Chinese West Indian restaurants. Fried (basmati) rice had little flavor and next time I eat it I will have to add some of my own sauces and seasoning. Personally on account of the price and the lack of intensity in the flavor, I won't be returning. But if you're looking for food that is ethnic, not overly salty and light on the flavors, this is the place for you. Owner stated that he got the halal meat from Al Nour and Ocean Star.

UPDATED REVIEW: Came back here a second time after enjoying my first visit however the quality of the food reduced significantly. The chili chicken seemed to lack flavour and the chili beef was over cooked. The portion sizes were also very small compared to my first visit

Really disappointed with the chili beef. It was very tough and hard to eat. Never going back here again. The quantity provided was also very little for $11. Not a good location for Hakka food.

I had ordered Chili Chicken and Momos. 1st time ordering from this place. Chili Chicken was not oily and very delicious. The beef and chicken momos was also full of flavours. Recommend to anyone who love Hakka food .
