This is by hands-down my favourite bakery in the city. I love all their buns, pastries, baguettes, cookies, and all the delectable delights they have to offer. The owner and staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. They have a large variety of options. They’re known for their Banh Mi’s (and they have sooo many scrumptious options - just check out their instagram). This bakery offers something that is hard to find in other bakeries, which is flavour: it’s orgasmic!
A small Vietnamese-Chinese bakery. I came around 10:30am on a Saturday but very few items were baked yet (even thiugh they open at 9:30am). So I suggest coming later around noon as most items would ve ready by then. They offer banh mi to order. And they’re the thinner longer baguettes like in Vietnam. They don’t give a lot of filling though but overall s’alright. They range about $5-$8. They also have hot steamed buns I saw. I didn’t buy any fresh buns but grabbed one...
I remember when I was a kid, my parents would always get our birthday cakes from Tung Hing in Chinatown so I was very excited when I found this bakery in Scarborough. The staff there was so helpful and friendly! I wanted two last minute birthday cakes - one mixed fruit cake for my dad and one chocolate cake for my brother.
