The service attitude is extremely poor. She also asked us for more tips. She discriminated against us and said that we were poor. She told if we don't give tips and don't come next time!!!
Terrible Service — Will Never Come Back
I had dinner with my colleague at Vietnam Noodle Star around 7:00pm June 4th 2025. We each ordered a large pho special for dine-in and a pineapple fried rice for takeout.
The short-haired female staff with glasses at the cashier had a terrible attitude. When I went to pay, she charged me for both items as dine-in and didn’t give me any change. When I questioned her, she became rude and argumentative instead of trying to resolve the issue.
She was aggressive and clearly expected a tip. I explained that I would only tip for the dine-in portion — tipping is optional, not mandatory. Her behavior was completely unacceptable.
I’m extremely disappointed. No wonder this place is loosing customers ,even during dinner rush hour.— I’ve seen other reviews saying they force tips too, and now I know it’s true. If I could give zero stars, I would. Avoid this restaurant at all costs.
I bring my family and they ask for 10% minimum tip.. not going back anymore
Taste is good but had upset stomach afterwards
Tip hungry restaurant they add their own tips and question to remove it. LOL
Good noodles, must try the springing roll
I come here once a month just to eat their Indonesian Fried Rice. It's literally one of my favorite items on the menu. Portions are huge too and very filling. Servers are very accommodating as well, but you need to ask for a glass of water (they don't proactively ask if you want drinks).
Mid food compared to other Viet places
—the beef pho is really over cooked and kinda bland
—the rice paper rolls were insanely sticky and fell apart when trying to eat
Delicious, wonderful portions, great prices and service ☺️
Food was trash and i was not bothered to take a picture. Lots of MSG ,meat was not fresh. The soup was just warm and not hot enough to cook raw beef
We also ordered Vietnamese spring rolls. It is lack of flavour , the stuffing is too dry and doesnt feel like it’s freshly made.
Restaurantji Recommends
I hope your dishwashing system can be changed because the bowl is very big and smells like bleach.
The experience at this Vietnamese restaurant was quite disappointing. The food lacked authentic flavors, and the quality was below expectations. Unfortunately, it did not meet the standards I was hoping for, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others.
The food quality was less than most other Vietnamese restaurants. Fatty, tasteless and the pho soup tasted more like lemon water. And to boot, the last bite of my roll had a hair in it. We won’t be back.
Rude server harrass my wife for tip i just ask if the tip is mandatory and telling me yes also they shame us on public saying dont ever come back here we dont need costumer like you i wouldnt advice to anyone to come in this resto there a lot more resto out there that doesnt humilliate people because they didnt received tips its not mandatory to tip the service they do is part of there job they should ask there boss for more money dont harrass people because u get any tips that BS i wouldnt never come back here again
Vietnam Noodle Star is hands down the best spot for Laksa seafood in town! The broth is rich and full of flavor, absolutely perfect for warming up on a cold winter night. Their Roti is a must-try—pairs perfectly with the Laksa. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving comforting, delicious food!
