Seafood Surprise - Allergy Nightmare!
Ordered chicken samba rice, but found shrimp hidden inside - a huge allergy risk! It was overpriced at $20 CAD and the worst food I've had. Staff were unprofessional, and food handling was concerning. Avoid at all costs!

This is the only place we go for lamprais!! Their food is always fresh and too good!!!

Too expensive, I paid with my debit card. The cashier entered the amount on the debit machine and held the machine with her and asked me to tap the card on the top. Until the payment went through, I didn't know how much she changed me. On top of that I didn't get the food that I ordered.

I walked in to buy some string hoppers. The lady wanted $5 for 25 string hoppers, which you can buy for under $4 at a lot of places in Scarborough. I inquired her about the high price. She could've politely answered the reasoning, but she was so rude and replied 'go purchase wherever it's cheaper'. That's exactly what I did. I walked out. You won't win any customers with this attitude.

Sister Ruby's food is amazing, to die for. Never knew hot n spicy food can be cooked with so much depth.To her credit, she runs the place with her 2 delightful daughters, they work so hard without any help to bring us great food. Excellent rice and curries, packed on a banana leaf. Next time in Toronto, definitely I will pick up one. Giving just 4 stars, because restaurant entrance looks messy, untidy, and unwelcoming. But food is Excellent.

Auntys banana leaf food is the best hands down. Best tamil food in scarborough.

Do not go here if you are planning on going home that day. These guys take 30 mins to bring your food. They could tell you that they are cooking said from scratch so we can stop wasting our time. There is only one person working in the whole store. This place should be shut down.

Too hot and spicy no customization

I recently had the pleasure of ordering from Ruby's Banana Leaf, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted warmly by the staff, who made me feel like a valued guest. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, setting the perfect tone for a delightful culinary journey. The lumprice was my absolute favorite. It came with over a dozen items and was so tasty!!! :)
