1812 Grillhouse & Bar

We drove by here several times in the past but wasn't sure about it looking very old western. Ok, but yesterday braved it and pulled in. Wish we could go back tonight .super service, excellent food, awesome atmosphere. Old saloon feel. Us seniors loved it. Please go check it out!!

Outstanding experience. Food was delicious and the service was great! We had the cajun shrimp and club sandwich with fries and gravy and all was perfect! Best fries and gravy we have had in a long time. Highly recommend!

Terrible experience. Placed an inline order several hours in advance. A few hours before the scheduled arrival time, I got a message saying that the restaurant adjuster my bill. They added $5 to my bill with no explanation to tell me why. When I tried to get information to explain the added charge, I couldn’t get any information or response. I decided to stick with my order, despite the unexplained additional charge, and was notified less that 25 minutes before my food was supposed to arrive that my order had been cancelled by the restaurant because they “couldn’t get to it”. I put the order in several hours in advance, they accepted it and even reviewed it as they added an additional fee so to cancel it at dinner time (it was almost 530 at this point) with less than 25 minutes notice is not acceptable and terrible customer service. We will not be ordering from or dining at this restaurant again.

Food is as meh, had to send draft beer back as it was cloudy and tasted off so I ordered a bottle. Limes need cleaning.

Then, 25 minutes before the order was supposed to arrive, I received a message that my order had been cancelled because they “couldn’t get to it”. At this point it was almost 520 and the order was placed before 2pm. This is terrible customer service. We will not be ordering from or dining here again.

Pretty cool little spot here.
I have driven by it on the way north, and kept thinking, ‘I’m going to dine there someday’.
Well, that someday was this week
Off the top, two things I like about this restaurant.
1. It’s independent.
2. It’s out of the way.
I really appreciated the outside look, and the inside was only that much better.
A lot of character in there.
I started with a Greek Salad, quite good.
Then had a steak, good but a little grisly, and mashed potatoes and stir fried vegetables, very good.
Even a Brussel sprout in there, which I like.
For dessert I had the cheesecake, which I highly recommend.
All in at $60, not bad.
The server was great too, and a real sweetheart.
So, I’ll be back!

Our server was very polite and attentive. But that's where the good stuff ends. We were a group of 4, there to celebrate a friend's birthday. 3 of us got our food, 1 of us had to wait 15 minutes for his pizza to come out. We were nearly finished our meal When his finally arrived. When I asked if he'd still be paying for it I was told it would be discounted. We were surprised to see a mere $4 taken off for that. We also found the restaurant cold, and the toilets in the women's washroom did not flush. I wanted to love this place as I believe in supporting local. Unfortunately we won't be back.

Great atmosphere! But horrible food and poor service. If you don’t live near by don’t bother visiting.
