This is some REAL yard food! I've eaten at many cookshops across the whole island, and can comfortably say this is some of the best I've had. My husband grew up in Kingston, and he is happy to agree. The stew chicken has the perfect heat and sweet mix, the curry goat was flavourful and tender. The rice and peas! Perfect texture and taste. I never expected to get good Jamaican food out this way, but will definitely be coming back.

Amazing
When do you guys reopen for the summer? Been calling and no answer
Bay Eats was such a great home away from home while we went to Gan for cottage weekends throughout the summer. My husband took to the oxtail dinner the most, but I couldn’t get past the curry everything (chicken, goat, and even a curry shrimp special)!!!! We usually saw Melloney at the onsite location at Bay Motel and she gave us lots of laughs, but during the festival we had the pleasure of meeting other family members who were also a total joy. We love that this is a family run business and can’t wait to see what goodies they serve up next summer.
Parking: Bay Eats is located on the Bay motel property, which offers lots of parking and even a picnic style seating area under the trees.
Kid-friendliness: Our kids are obsessed with the festivals and fried chicken.

A hidden gem. The curry goat and brown stew chicken were out of this world. I would give the place 10 stars if I could. I was lucky to also taste a festival freshly fried. OMG! I'm in love with that place.

Amazing food!I’ve been driving by daily on my way to work and finally stopped in. They had Jerk Chicken, Stewed Chicken and Curry Chicken available today. For our first time in, I grabbed four orders of the Jerk Chicken. AMAZING! The rice and beans are phenomenal and the service is 10/10!I can’t wait to go back again—probably this week or next!Looking forward to trying the Roti and Plantains!!!!

No question that this is very good food, and its so nice to see something authentic in the area. The only issue I had was that I thought it expensive for the serving size. For example the 'large' goat curry at $24 was really only enough for one person.

Can easily eat here every day! In fact we literally did! We tried the jerk chicken, goat curry, curry chicken roti and sadly the jerk pork is only made on Saturdays so if you’re around the area on the weekend, it’s a must try! Everything is authentic and made fresh every morning! And the service is amazing! Can’t wait until our next visit!

This is the best food you will eat for a hundred miles in any direction.
Absolutely phenomenal Carribean food with authentic flavor! I got the curry goat and I devoured it without a single morsel left in the container. The owner was also very friendly and accommodating. This place is a must visit if you're ever in the area.

Listen!!! I've lived in Canada for 10 years and this was the best and most authentic Jamaican food I've had since I've migrated here. (I'm from Jamaica). The little restaurant is tucked away in front of the motel (which the restaurant owners own!). I had the large curry goat and my husband had some beef patties. Both were delicious. The curry goat was a good portion. I ate and had some left over to bring to work the next day. Definitely a must try if you are in the area.

Had the best j*** chicken and chicken roti that I’ve ever had here yesterday. Large portions and fair price. Lots of space to eat outside. If this was in Kingston I’d be eating there every week! Already planning my next trip back.

Perfect timing to realize that I didn’t post my review of Bay Eats last season… they open back up for the summer tomorrow (May 19th) and im looking forward to heading back to grab some more of their j*** chicken, curried goat and hopefully plantains. (They were sold out last time I visited)Worth the drive if your craving Caribbean food.
Ate the food from this location at a local market and it was amazing. The food is very flavourful the staff are very friendly. The flavor of the food is a bit different than other Jamaican dishes that I've eaten in the past. I actually prefer this one the prices are about 15 dollars per entree. Had the j*** chicken, curry chicken which they make from spices they bring from Jamaica and quite different from other parts of the Caribbean, corn soup, pork.
My biggest regret is not knowing about this place until now!!! Amazing curry chicken. Great staff. What a gem!!
