Stayed in Sharbot Lake to celebrate two special birthdays at Belong.
Knowing the level of care and detail that the owners put into every dish they plate, we wanted to go there specifically. We were not disappointed. The evening view was a glorious sunset over the lake. An intimate dining room that in morning was bright and airy. Dinner was delightful. Cooked to perfection and served with care. The carefully crafted cocktails were unique and yummy. Staff left nothing to be desired.
All 8 of us we served wonderful creations that met the various dietary restrictions. Recommend the st Lawrence salad to start and don’t skip dessert made by the in-house pastry chef! Nothing disappointed from the scones to the eggs Benny. The buttermilk chicken was fantastic.
Worth the drive to eat here. Maybe find a cute place to stay and go twice like we did! Make the reservation for a great experience.

Vegetarian options: Options for vegetarians who joined us. And accommodating to restrictions. Not sure I have ever had such delicious spaghetti squash but I can’t wait to try it again! It was lemony and garlicky so good. The st Lawrence salad never disappoints imo. We grabbed a few pastries for our ride home.

Dietary restrictions: We went for a birthday celebration for both dinner and brunch the next day. One of us had recently started carnivore diet and it was accommodated without any issue or fuss. Along with our vegetarian friends! The chef met all our needs deliciously. Honestly wish ten stars was an option.

Parking: Located next to trails and good size lot for cars

I love the minimalist ambiance and the view of the lake. The food was delicious, nice plate presentation. The waiter is very friendly. The chef visited our table to ask if we liked the food.

Worst customer service we have ever endured in a restaurant. The server was very rude to us and we left without being able to have lunch. The server showed a very bad attitute almost as we were "bothering" her. I wish I could give them 0 starts.

We are a family of 3, including an elderly person with mobility issues. We asked for a table on the patio and were offered a table in the sun, as there were only 3 tables in the shade.

Two of those tables were occupied and the third one was for 8 people and she told us that since we were only 3 people we couldn't sit there, althought the patio was almost empty and there was no line.

When one of the 2 tables in the shade became vacant, the waitress cleaned it for us and call us back with the same bad attitute.

To maintain distance from the other table, we moved our table just one meter to the left and when the waitress saw us, she told us so rudely that next time we were there we should not move the furniture around.

A person like this should not be working in any type of costumer service position. We will not return.

Belong’s Chef and team prepared a fantastic meal for a large guest party on a recent Saturday night. We enjoyed soup, salads, smoked trout, rabbit or chicken dishes and our favorite sticky toffee dessert, accompanied by some nice wines. Great food costs but so worth the tastes and memories from a great party made possible by Belong. They deserve our enthusiastic support.

$28.00 for just a hamburg! ? Surely you are mistaken, there was a mix up. No fries? No salad or soup?? Nope! Just a small burger on a big plate..$28.00 plus tax. I’m posting this so others, perhaps new to the area or those who dined under the previous establishment realize going in what to expect. I’m still thinking it’s a joke but I know it isn’t ! I haven’t rated the service, atmosphere or food because this review is about the outrageous price.

First time hitting up Belong, and it didn’t disappoint. The food was great and the service was top notch. Worth a stop when in the area or passing through.

Don’t forget to order a side of their tallow fries, they are perfect, and a huge portion. Great for sharing.

They also make a killer cup of coffee, and offer it as take-away which was perfect for the drive back to Kingston.

Things to Know: Don’t count on the online menu being up to date. This restaurants menu changes often. My wife is one of those people that love to pour over a menu prior to getting to a restaurant and pre choosing her meal, she had her heart set on a couple dishes that were on the website menu but not the days menu. Something to keep an n mind if you are like her.

More things to Know: This is a tip free space, as per our waitress they are paid well and do not accept tips.
