The spotless environment and friendly staff create a welcoming atmosphere, allowing guests to fully enjoy the view of Sharbot lake while enjoying their meal. The available beers are from local microbreweries, the way it should be. By the way, the best burger - ever. Glad we found it!

We came to Sharbot Lake as an impromptu trip. We were recommended to dine at Belong. Our expectations were blown out of the water and we had a fantastic meal.The atmosphere was relaxing. Our view was the lake. We were not rushed. It was not overly loud.The food was one of the best meals we have had. We came with a small appetite, but managed to have good sized meals and dessert.We even had a takeaway cookie for tomorrow.We plan to return in the area in the summer and will be back again. We ordered takeout from Belong tonight for the first time. YUMMY! We both had the Buttermilk Chicken Burger with a side of Fries. Absolutely delicious! From the phone call to pick up, service was excellent, she was so pleasant. We will definitely be back to enjoy the lovely bar, restaurant, patio, and of course more takeout!Parking: Lots of parking.

So far we’ve been to Belong 4 times now since it opened. While the food we’ve had to date has been delicious, we find that the variety is very limited, especially that they only seem to offer potatoes??? Rice would be a nice option, particularly with the seafood. We would suggest they change their menu on a regular basis like all top shelf restaurants do. The website has been promising the dine-in menu since it opened but to date….nothing.The service is usually good but we’ve found it depends on the server. We also weren’t too impressed that one evening the owner came out but never bothered to come to the tables and inquire after the patrons and their dining experience.Our lowest rating is the atmosphere because it feels quite sterile. The modern flavour is attractive but, needs more warmth. The furniture (which is uncomfortable) feels more like a cafe than a restaurant whose price point communicates high end to its patrons.

The family had a birthday brunch at Belong Cafe today and were very impressed. We shared some of the Tallow Fries which were amazing but unfortunately I didn’t take any photos other than my half eaten plate of Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon. Portions were very generous and very good! Cappuccinos, Mimosas, and espresso martinis were top notch! Another present surprise is that there is a NO TIPPING policy. I saw a few people’s orders of the Buttermilk Chicken and OMG, we’ll be back. Definitely worth the drive from Ottawa for a visit to quaint Sharbot Lake.
Went in to try the new local eatery and celebrate new years. The food was decent although lacking any sort of creativity. Leaning heavily on a sort of classic fine dining feel if anyone knows what I mean. I had the lamb my girlfriend had the pasta. I found the lamb a bit over done, and honestly with the gravy if I didn't know it was lamb I would have believed it was beef. My girlfriend felt the pasta was good and enjoyed her starter salad. I also found it odd to be pouring my own sparkling water from small glass bottles into my own cup. The restaurant gave off a cold vibe, no candles or soft music. The hostess was loud and agreeing with another review it seems to Belong in a more metropolitan setting especially considering the price point.I wonder without pivoting if it will last. Best of luck to the owner but won't be back anytime soon.Hopefully you guys also get the Google portion sorted out as it isn't the first time a business has taken the place of another business.

This was our second time at Belong. We came in for lunch one day and had a burger and chicken on a bun. Really liked it so came back with the family. Made reservations for 5 adults (and 1 baby) and mentioned that we would like a vegetarian option. The service was excellent and the meal absolutely delicious. Some of us had the mushroom stone soup and we ordered lions mane mushrooms for the table (we didn’t really like them - nothing wrong with the preparation, just the mushroom itself didn’t appeal to us) The vegetarian meal was yummy -very tasty and fresh (pic attached) Everyone in our party was pleased with their menu choice. We enjoyed both dessert options. And my daughter-in-law declared the mochaccino the best she’d ever tasted! It was nice meeting the owner/chef who came to say hi to our youngest. Overall a very enjoyable visit and we’ll definitely be back.

Wonderful experience. Excellent service, great food, perfect atmosphere. I had the buttermilk chicken – it was sublime, my husband had the pickerel appetizer and loved it. His sirloin steak was cooked perfectly. We also shared an order of fries and well, that was fry heaven. Nice wine menu too. Sadly, we had no room for dessert but will definitely return so we have that to try next time. Surprised by the no tipping policy, our lovely hostess told us they are paid a living wage thus it's not necessary, very nice to know.
