Green Acres Manitoulin- Family Campground & Restaurant

We went for dinner anxious to have fish. My husband ordered deep fried halibut. I ordered supposedly deep fried pickeral. I got my dinner the fish was fried with the skin (ordered deep fried so I don't get the skin) and bones. The fish was overdone dried out and no taste. The vegetables were so soggy, I didn't eat them. We were so disappointed, I doubt i would ever return.

We were intending to dine in at the Green Acres restaurant but due to the bad weather we decided to get the food for takeaway. Staff we really friendly. We picked up two chicken burgers (they were made just as we had asked) and a large poutin. The food was excellent.

5 star!!! Green Acres is my favourite place to eat on Manitoulin Island. The food is excellent and the staff are amazing people. If you're going to treat yourself to supper I highly recommend eating there!

if you're coming here to rent a seasonal lot, think again. The owners here are very RUDE. If you have a serious concern, Jackie (the owner) will say "NOT my PROBLEM"

Horrible customer service, the owner treats you like youre under her. After people who are seasonal pay the owner, her behavior changes COMPLETELY, she goes from being very nice to VERY RUDE. The place is beautiful but it is LIKE A WAR.She's nice to people she likes, she is very selective on who she's gonna treat nicely, if you are not one of them, you will be treated like you're not even living there. They constantly say its private property even after you paid to stay there, THEY act like you're not even living there I repeat.

the service looks good at first because the owners are selling you ,they serve short term customers great so they can get money, you should read all reviews before coming here long term.

This was our first time to the island. The owners were very friendly, accommodating and providing us with 2 trailers right across from one another so we could be together with other family members from out of town also. The bathrooms were always spotless, the park is quiet (although lots of young families everywhere) and dog friendly. The owners even provided live entertainment on one the nights. Water front campsites are not very common and we were thrilled when were asked if we wanted water front. Being kayakers we were over the moon with water front. I would encourage others to experience this camp ground for themselves and to not allow bad apples to spoil this little gem or deprive others of an amazing experience. We will be back for sure. Thanks for a great week.

Nicest family owned campground beautiful beach !!! 2 years in a row couldn’t ask for anything better

Very unique beach camping.A family run business that offers camping and all the amenities that camping requires and more.The restaurants menu and food are awesome. I have book my family for 2025 already ?

I have to give one star just to leave a review.
We arrived the same time as this other family.
We were not offered menus. Offered a drink. Let alone able to place an order.

After 25 mins of waiting. Another couple came in and were told “kitchen is closed!”

So…became apparent there was never an intention to serve us.

I will never again make your establishment a stop in my travels.

For a seasonal place like this. Your visitors are your bread and butter. I will offer my business to the many other Mom & Pops all over this Island.
I will recommend to those I have influence over to choose any other place of business than this one.

Was able to call last minute and get a fantastic spot right in the beach! Initially we were going to only stay one night now are hoping to stay a second! Friendly staff, great neighbors!

We rented a trailer at Green acres. Owner was very accommodating. Wonderful service. Well maintained park. Very clean. Owners are great. Would highly recommend. It's beautiful at Green Acres.

Good food, good service

Spur of the moment trip that turned out perfectly. We had an absolutely fantastic relaxing stay at Green Acers. This family run campground maybe on the smaller side but, offers very nice sites with endless amounts of fun out on the water. Facilities are clean and well maintained. The family that owns and runs the campground are lovely to talk to and very helpful with anything that you may need (ie. Like locking your keys in your trailer!). Also, the seasonal residents are very welcoming and seem more then welcome to have a chat by the fire with a cold drink.
Needless to say we are already planning our next trip back to the island and have already been recommending this campground to our family and friends.
