The service was very welcoming and friendly. However the food was not great. I can’t speak to the BBQ menu because it was not available. The fries were not fresh cut pub style. The burger patties fall apart as you eat them. The brisket soup was similar to a canned barley soup. The meatloaf was suppose to be served with vegetables, which was just a side of plain corn. Unfortunately of our four meals, none were worth having again.

Once upon a time Church is a fabulous pub. The food is delicious the home made burger seasoned, fat and juicy. Excellent crispy fries. Get the side of cheese sauce for dipping. Unique smoke chipotle flavour. Defineyly will be back. The owner is a very friendly guy and takes very good care of his patrons. You really need to drop in and try this place for yourselves.

While the gimmick of being in a church is cool on the surface, it quickly wore off sitting on hard repurposed pews (normal dining chairs are also available) and being in the basement lacking charm.
I wouldn't recommend it.

I got the Jerk burger with french fries, burger was overcooked and burn (charcoal edges)and the fries from the frozen bag,my friend burger was the same, my wife ordered Toscana style pasta that tasted like nothing,we added extra chicken, but can't find any ? and I believe the sos was from the can, nothing to do with home made food, otherwise very interesting place and friendly atmosphere.

First time at The Duffy and loved it. The food was fantastic and the service was amazing. We will definitely be returning. Brisket is to die for and the tacos are mucha buena. Looking forward to trying the hamburgers. Oh yah....the baked brie starter....ohhhh it was beyond word...a must try.
We had a private event for 20 people and everything was excellent. The food was great! We had mac and cheese, wings, flat breads, cesar salad and spinach dip. It was hot and home made! Chris and Greg could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended if you are in Shelburne. They also have a nice outdoor patio although we had the entire inside reserved and it was perfect. Thanks !

We ended up on the patio of this gem and could not be happier. The Owner was very nice and accommodating and let us know about their process and thought behind the establishment. We had a few beers and some of the best nachos I have ever had. We liked the food so much, we ended up getting a few different plates to take home for later. They had run out of a few smoked items but we will definitely be going back there to try them!

Have been stopping here when we go North, never have been disappointed until today. This establishment had always prided itself that everything is fresh, well I can guarantee that the chicken burger was definitely a frozen patty, didnt even come close to filling the bun. The owner was handling the tables, husbands draft came with a fruit fly, (that he had to point out.) His replacement was not completely full, not pulled properly. While the owner brought condiments and drinks to tables, he never took dirty dishes or glasses back inside, first rule as a server, never go back empty handed. The result is several tables covered in dirty glasses and plates that attracted hoardes of flies. After we left continued our journey and noticed a young girl clearing the tables, so he took the tips and left her to clean up the mess, regretting the, while be it small, gratuity we lefr. Won't be back until the reviews improve, if at all.

The quality of the food was unbelievably poor. The staff unfortunately did not have an idea of what beer was on tap when asked (basic knowledge that ought to be known - ie, “is it a lager or an ale?”).
They didn’t have coke/pepsi on the long weekend for service. Likewise did not have 4x BBQ mains, that essentially was a reason we decided to dine there. Ordered the Nashville Honey Chicken sandwich for dinner. Ended up waiting over an hour for a “Janes” chicken patty drenched in pre-fab condiment sauces. Fries that accompanied were pitiful, not fresh, in a small portion soggy, and clearly out of a frozen food isle.
Rough experience all in all, that did not even come close to justifying the 20-25$ price.
You could essentially see the shame on the staff’s expressions when dropping off the food at the table and subsequent check-ins, in that, they knew how poor the quality of food was. I know I couldn’t stand by that kind of product with any enthusiasm either.
Such a shame for a lovely location, and patio. Would not recommend, not until they remedy their issues within the kitchen.
