Hoy's Chinese Cuisine Simcoe

ordered there for delivery around 4:30 and was told it couldnt be delivered until 6:30, we said that’s fine. 7pm rolls around and we still haven’t received it. Called them and they said they hadn’t started making it yet because the delivery driver had gone home for the night and they tried to call us and we didn’t answer so they cancelled the order. We had never gotten a phone call from them because they had written down our contact information wrong. Had to wait for them to make our meal almost an hour after it was supposed to be ready. Ruined our night.

Take out. Rice was rancid. Beef and broccoli was inedible. Not even sure it was beef it was paper thin

Saturday night around seven sat ourselves at front table as it was the only table clean. Ordered food after waitress finally came to the table, asked for water no ice. Water all came with ice. Food came quickly but the fried rice had a burnt taste to it, everything else bland and very salty. Not once did waitress come to table to refill drinks or for anything. I had to get up and go get more napkins and the fella only gave me two when we had larger party. Had to go ask for take out boxes. Table service was not existent at all. Food was way below acceptable but portion size was good. I did leave a tip but told the waitress that the service was terrible. Definitely won’t go there again nor will I order takeout again. The dining room wasn’t even that clean - Hoy’s you have sink to the lowest levels.

Second time I have had food from there people are telling me it was better. I thought my meal was terrible. Won’t do that again

I went to dinner here last night and was very impressed. It was very busy but staff were amazing! They were run off their feet but still were friendly and kept going. Phones were ringing off the hook, the restaurant was full.

Placed an order in person for take out - paid for it. The young man that took our order decided to change our order from a House dinner to a Choice dinner because it was “cheaper”. We didn’t know this until we got home (we live about 15 minutes away). I called and the same young man answered the phone and said that he did it that way because it was cheaper. I told him that is not what we ordered. He was very rude and did not apologize at all. He told us it would be a 30 minute wait to make the dinner we actually ordered. I told him that we wanted what we ordered. Went back in to pick it up. Again, no apology. I shouldn’t take it personally because he was just as rude and unfriendly to other customers in the restaurant. Too many mistakes with this place with every order. Will not be back here and do not recommend to anyone.

The food was tasty and fresh, and the staff was super nice. Overall, fresh and quick!

This has to be one of the best Chinese food restaurants in Simcoe! Great food selection very reasonably priced great tasting. I'm no food expert ( to look at me you would think I ate for a living lol ) but this place was amazing! A definite must if you are in the area or even if your not. Highly recommend.

We just had our Christmas Dinner for our motorcycle riding club.

This is our second year having it at Hoy's, and they do not disappoint. The food and service were excellent.

Never disappointed with Hoys! So many delicious items, the general tao is the best I have ever had. The servers have been great and it's always nice and clean. Highly recommend.

I should have listened to the other reviews, the service here was HORRIBLE! I will never be returning here and for sure will let everyone I know about the terrible experience we had!
