First time at Joy Cafe in Simcoe today. Cute spot, so I was excited to try it. Unfortunately, the cashier couldn’t crack a smile, and the barista seemed stressed with a few orders, snapping at us to wait by the door for our latte. The cheddar scone was fresh, but the latte was the worst I’ve ever had — tasted like warm old milk with no espresso. Tried it in the car and tossed it. I’ve had coffee all over the world, and sadly this was the most disappointing.

I go to Joy’s Cafe almost daily. It’s the best spot in Simcoe! Everyone on the staff is extremely friendly and happy. It’s an incredible atmosphere. Where I go to relax, sit and enjoy some delicious coffee and pastries!

I live in ottawa and was in barrie for work.i was staying at Hilton next to 4.points which has no restaurant. I had the pleasure of going to simcoe grill for food and was.served by Katherine bartender which was a pleasure I was treated as a guest and totally enjoyed her company while waiting for my homemade Mac and cheese .I would definitely recommend this bistro and company of Katherine to anyone looking for relaxed atmosphere good company and good dining experience

Really lovely little cafe. Pastries we're fresh and they had a great selection available, plus some really interesting options. I had the cherry chocolate scone, ginger cookie and brownie-cookie combo and I'd get all 3 again.
Coffee was excellent as well. House made unsweetend chai latte with a shot of espresso was excellently excuted and a follow up ice americano did not fall short.
Great little place to spend a few hours working while passing through town. It got pretty lively around 9:30 and continued a good vibe right to lunch.
Excellent work and great to have a cute local spot.

I was in couple weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised by the in house options and quality. I learned that thanks to the employee telling me. This is very important to me knowing what and where my food came from. I appreciated her telling us. To top it of our chai late was absolutely THE BEST I ever had. I also treated myself with a cake pop. Omgeee you can tell home made and soo fresh. Love the rustic atmosphere too, however we were on the run and didn’t dine in, however we will next time. Little gem you have to visit!!
