Ordered $88 worth of takeout and was very disappointed. I only eat roll type sushi and Sakura does not do theirs Maki style. In other words the rice is on the outside of the roll and they use very little of it. They are very large and need to have 2 bites however they are so loosely rolled they fall apart. I am particularly fond of tuna roll but they came with a great big chunk of tuna in the middle which put me off. The ingredients in the L.A. roll looked like they had been put through a blender and were just mush. The only things good were the edamame and the pickled ginger. The only reason I gave it any stars is because the lady who took my order over the phone was very pleasant. I ended up telling my husband to eat what he wanted and throw the rest away.
Exceptional and fresh food. Quick and kind service. Wonderful family business. We love coming here!
An unexpected stop on a spontaneous roadtrip turned out to be some of the most fantastic sushi I have had in ages. Two of us shared the Aka boat, which was the perfect amount for us. It had a delicious miso soup and a light side salad, both sides were really just for one person. It is 100% worth the stop.

The most beautiful little sushi shop, with incredible food and super kind attentive staff. Wish I could give this place 10 stars!

Everything was absolutely delicious and the staff were lovely. I was pleasantly surprised by the large menu selection, so many great options. This is definitely a must stop for a wonderful sushi meal. We ordered takeout this time but the dine-in seating area looked beautiful. Definitely looking forward to our next trip back!

This placd is a gem in Simcoe! The sushi was good, they put work in the presentation, service was friendly. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
We found our new favourite restaurant in Simcoe… Warm and welcoming atmosphere and service. The calamari tempura was cooked to perfection. My sushi was fresh. My husband’s shrimp teriyaki was super flavourful. He even ate the vegetables!

Excellent Sushi !!! Very friendly service and the BEST tuna sashimi I’ve ever had. Sushi pizza is a must try and all other items very fresh. Thanks Sakura for a great dinner?
Went for dinner last night and it was absolutely delicious. Would recommend if you like sushi you need to try this little restaurant.
The rolls and sashimi were so good ?Love that they didn't put a lot of rice in the roll.
We go here often now and that is why I'm writing. The restaurant here has many iterations over the years but this one stuck. The thought of a sushi restaurant in the middle of nowhere was scary at first. But our first experience was wonderful. Truly, the best sushi that we have had anywhere and that includes, Toronto, Detroit, and all over California to mention a few places. Portions are appropriate and the ratio of rice to fillimgs is amazing. One complaint I have about some sushi restaurants is the excessive amount of rice on the rolls. At Sakura it amazes me how thin the rice is. I love it. We were worried that Covid lock downs would see this gem lost, but thankfully it has survived. we have brought friends regularly and even those that are not sushi fans have found something desirable on the menu. The roll selection is to die for. We especially like the Legend Roll and the Mixed Dragon Roll. To people that complained about the cost, its Sushi. And this place makes it an art.
This restaurant raises the bar on excellent sushi. Will definitely recommend and go back for more.Authentic and delicious.
