This used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant, but after the horrible customer service I experienced with my last order, I am never ordering from here again. We ordered chicken chop suey and shrimp chow mein. I thought that the shrimp chow mein would be like their Cantonese chow mein with noodles at the bottom but with just shrimp for meat. When we realized that their shrimp chow mein was basically the same as chop suey (bean sprouts) but with crispy fried egg noodles for sprinkling on top, we called back assuming it was a mix up. The lady on the phone was extremely short with my boyfriend and explained that the Cantonese chow mein and shrimp chow mein are different, and then hung up before he could get a word in. So I called back and she started yelling at me saying she was busy. I am 6 months pregnant and her yelling at me made me break out in tears. I asked for a refund for the shrimp chow mein but she just kept repeating that it was our fault for not knowing what they were, and that we should have asked first. Maybe your restaurant should explain on the menu that the only chow mein that comes with noodles is the Cantonese chow mein, and that the other chow mein's only come with bean sprouts.I'm extremely upset with how we were treated. We don't eat out very often and we look forward to when we can treat ourselves to takeout. My family and I have been a loyal customers for years, I've eaten at their restaurant ever since I was a child, and my brother and I went to school with their children. But we will take our business elsewhere now. Very shocked.

The food is awesome, the BBQ ribs are to die for. We drive from Port Dover to pick our food up in Simcoe.
I never went there at all to eat. The only Chinese restaurant in Simcoe I hate was in a place called Hoys on the Queensway. You really can't imagine proper Chinese food in a Small Town Lake Simcoe or Port Dover.

If i could give 0 stars i would this stay away! absolutely horrible service the lady who was taking my order is completely rude as i tried to order she started screaming on the phone trying to start a fight and telling to call somewhere else to order food and she told me that if I order from them im not guaranteed my order? Then proceeded by hanging up on me what kinda service is that? What restaurant treats there customers like that? absolutely disappointing and disgusting behaviour.

We have eaten Chinese food for over 40 years, a go-to favorite when doing take out. Being new to the area we called Hoys but they were too busy to take our order and we were asked to call back in an hour, it was 6 pm. Called Garden and the very friendly lady took our order, and the food was delivered promptly. The food was very tasty, fresh, and loved the noodles ( never experienced them before) that came with the soup. Their prices were slightly cheaper than Hoys. This is our restaurant, for Chinese food now, no place else compares.
