I go to every breakfast place in southwestern Ontario. The shire basic breakfast is slightly more expensive than most places with significantly smaller portion sizes. Not very good value.

I have only been to The Shire for breakfast but it is a great place to sit down and have a nice meal. The prices are good and so is the coffee!

There are hardly any gluten free options other than salad. There is no option for a gluten free bun for a burger or gluten free pasta. I ended up having an omelette again with no toast as the gluten free toast they offer is abysmal. There is no excuse for this. Many many people have food allergies now and need to be accommodated and not have to eat salads all the time.

Great place to go. Fair prices, and they fill your plate. Our family has been going here for years. We've always enjoyed having our own personal carafe of coffee for our table. Be patient with the service, though. Depending on the time of day, it could be a little wait for a host/hostess, clean table, silverware, or wait time for your bill. The staff are always busy. It's worth the wait, and locals know it, I feel.

We love the food and service here. It’s just pretty dark inside for getting together with family. The new menus are beautiful. And the staff is so kind. We ordered delivery to the hospital when my first was born. We will keep coming back.
This brunch spot is part of a Travelodge on the west end of Queensway in Simcoe.
Our waitress was especially attentive to our needs, and the quality of our meals was top notch.
As much as we were comfortable, if there is a large group in your area, it might get a bit noisy, otherwise this would have been a 5 for atmosphere.

We had the opportunity to try the smoked beef as well as the fish and chips, and both dishes were thoroughly enjoyable. However, the additional charge for upgrading to sweet potato fries seemed somewhat excessive. The staff exhibited exceptional friendliness and professionalism. I would highly recommend this place to others
