I was at the Shire on November 29th 2025 for an evening meal. It was cold in the dining room. Other customers were wearing their coats. When I said something about the temperature, they cranked it up and it got rather warm. About halfway through my meal, it started getting really cold again. When the waitress came over, I let her feel how cold my hands were and the comment was “what do you want me to do about it”? Not an enjoyable atmosphere when there is cold air blowing on your meal and it’s getting cold and you’re getting cold. I said something that maybe their thermostat needs to be adjusted!

Wings where BOGO tonight, Thursday, decent size and delicious. Dry Cajun and Medium where the choices. Shared a large Greek salad, it was delicious! One of the better Greek Salads in the area. Overall a delicious nicely priced meal. Oh, and good ceaser and amber ale! Wonderful friendly server as well 👌

If you're looking for a good cup of coffee I would recommend you go somewhere, anywhere else. Gives dishwasher new meaning. Not overwhelmed with the fried frozen home fries. Service was great though, very fast and pleasant.

There is a waitress here with brown hair and big blue eyes that is an absolute monster and I don’t know how she ever got a job as a waitress. She is rude, drops plates on the table and the only smile we got is when we asked for the check as she expected a big tip. Sorry we don’t tip big for crappy service. Maybe smile, act like you like your job and you’ll be fine. I don’t recommend taking kids near that waitress.

Came in for brunch while waiting for my car to be serviced. Amy B was my server. She was absolutely sweet as ever. Super quick, food was hot and probably the best I've had here yet.

The food here for dinner is awful. They burnt our food to a crisp and still brought it to us. The waiters even asked us if it was too burnt and just said that’s been happening lately🤷🏼♀️ and it was crazy expensive for food that tastes that bad.

4.3 rating is an understatement here, went in today not sure what to fully expect. All i can say is wow! The atmosphere very cozy , the menu had everything you would expect from a breakfast restaurant and then some !! Our order came super fast and exactly as ordered. And was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection and portioned appropriately for the price point! Loved the fact we had our own coffee pot for our refills genius idea as you don't need to trouble the staff for refills.. The staff where do i begin! Our server was AMAZING !! Its been a while since i had such an amazing personality like this, i felt like i was home with a friend , honestly i just wanted to stay to see the dinner menu lol , she was kind , pleasant, funny and above all you could tell she loves what she does , not seen much these days.. we were stopping through this town if you are too this is a must please don't give into any negative reviews i am as hard as they come when it comes to going out i have high expectations, But i will always give credit when credit is due. I will make the trip out again for sure! 🙂

Last night when we went to The Shire the restaurant was a ghost town with no customers in sight. We waited a few minutes for the Hostess to appear as its wait to be seated and doesn’t appear busy enough to need that. Well when the Hostess finally came out she was polite at least for the moment. We asked for a table for two, she grabbed menus and went to walk us to our seats when I noticed a waitress who has been drama in my life and decided that it would be a better idea to eat elsewhere as we went out for dinner not drama. We apologized to the Hostess saying we wouldn’t need a table. We turned and left and this waitress came to the windows in the door to give us the finger on both hands while the Hostess and waitress were laughing about it. If that was the type of disgusting immature behaviour was on display when we left I can just imagine the behaviour we would’ve faced had we stayed to eat or possibly what would’ve happened to our food with such immature actions. Train your wait staff better.
