rented a lift from the Smiths Falls Rental. when picking up the lift the gentleman that showed us the equipment indicated that there was some damage present on the lift.. When we returned the lift we were told that we had caused the damage and would be billed for it. Unfortunately we could not prove that the gentleman had told us the damage was already present on the item and he denied that he had showed it to us when we picked it up. BUYER BEWARE take photos of anything you rent from this organization so you have proof. I will no longer patronize the business.

Rented a trench digger from SF location. Got it home and the chain wasn't secured (would explain why it was so noisy on the drive home) anyway, we started to use it and it wouldn't run unless the choke was on and it pulled badly to the left. I called and the blonde guy (didn't get his name) came to my place to check it out, apparently the "pin" wasn't placed properly, he said must have missed it when serviced. Problem fixed and carried on. Cleaned it off well as Tam (suposed manager?) made sure to comment on that before taking it home. Brought it back in and dealt again with "blonde guy) very nice man. Tam came storming in, screaming at me about the chains not being secured and threatening that if it had fallen off that I "would be in serious trouble" We put the chains on better than they had it and he said "there is no way I received it like that as HE serviced it himself.. well if he serviced it himself then why did I need someone to come fix it? They lost my business as I cancelled my scaffolding order I had placed for Thursday and Friday. If Tam is working, STAY AWAY!!!!! He makes the company look VERY bad.

I used the online booking system to rent a brush mower for a full day with delivery and pickup to Portland, ON. The online quote indicated the cost would be $152.55. The mower broke down after about an hour or two of using it. There were only two staff on that day, so they weren't able to send someone out to fix the brush mower. They changed my booking from the full day to 4 hours to compensate me, which I think was fair. I ended up getting charged ~$280 because of the undisclosed delivery and pickup fees, which totaled $166! If I'd have known that the delivery and pickup was that much, I never would have booked. Basically, I paid $280 to use the brush mower for 2 hours.

Rented a Kubota, everyone was excellent to deal with beginning to end. Price was more than fair for the rental, we will be back for sure. It was delivered and picked up by Steve. He was fantastic!Showed me how to use it and was very encouraging. They also came out to our house to help us with a small seat adjustment. Again prompt, friendly and curtious staff. Outstanding job done by all staff we dealt with.Thank you so very much. We will be back!
