We were vendors for the Mystic Market, so did takeout since nowhere else seemed to be able to cater to my wife's celiac disease. They seemed to hesitate when I called for takeout, likely because they had a lot of people showing up from the Market, but were willing once I said we were vendors. The soup and GF bread were great, and what limited contact I had with the staff was friendly and accommodating

Fabulous food in a lovely setting. Highly recommended!
Wow, pleasantly surprised!
Delicious food, excellent service—both friendly and efficient—and very clean! The quality truly lives up to their great rating. I had the shrimp pappardelle, and my husband had the signature smoked meat. Both were excellent choices. The shrimp were real jumbo, and the potato wedges were perfectly seasoned. One of the best restaurant we recommend highly for sure!

One of our traveling companions happened to find the listing for the Vault while searching for a nice dinner spot during our visit to Smiths Falls. We moved away nearly 50 years ago so have lost touch with the dining scene in town. Imagine my surprise when we drove up to the bank I used to deal at those 50 years ago. What fun it was enjoying those beautifully restored and maintained surroundings. The owner (who also waited on us) was extremely helpful and enthusiastic about recommending what we should order according to our tastes. Over the course of the evening she was also able share some of her story and her vision for her restaurant. The food was so good we couldn’t help but order desert. We felt totally satisfied when done and left feeling we were taking a little bit of Smiths Falls history with us. Well done!!

oh my YUM.
After trying a few restaurants in the area i can tell you without a doubt this is the place you want to go.
Menu is slightly higher priced than their competitors but you are going to walk away with a full stomach and takeout box. The extra $2-4 a plate is absolutely worth it.
Our server was wonderful, she was a step ahead of us at all times! We had their special Brie appetizer and it deserves a spot on the menu. The Quinoa bowl was large and filling, the Brisket was very tender with delicious gravy.
New favourite, we will be back!

Excellent food and excellent service. Yesterday my wife and I stopped in for lunch. We both chose the Cobb salad, which came with roasted chicken, tomatoes, chunks of smoked ham, bacon, a whole avocado, a hard-boiled egg, thinly sliced red onions, sliced cucumber, mixed greens, and blue cheese, all tied together with an amazing lemon thyme dressing and beautifully presented on the plate. We both thought it was the best salad we've had that we can remember.
The ingredients were clearly fresh and of the highest quality. The chicken was tender and well-seasoned, the smoked ham was cut into large chunks and added a rich, savory depth without overpowering. The bacon brought just the right amount of crisp, salty bite, and the avocado was absolutely perfect - not a blemish to be seen, creamy but not mushy. The tomatoes were bright and sweet, the cucumber was crunchy and fresh, and the red onions were sliced thin enough to complement without stealing the show. The mixed greens were vibrant, not wilted, and the finely crumbled blue cheese gave a sharp, tangy kick that didn’t overwhelm and provided the perfect contrast to the other ingredients. The wonderful dressing - zesty from the lemon, with a subtle herby note from the thyme - pulled everything together without being too heavy or tart.
What made it stand out was the delicate balance and the freshness - no single ingredient dominated; each bite had the perfect mix of textures and flavors—crisp, creamy, tangy, savory—that just clicked. It’s the kind of salad that doesn’t compromise - you’re eating “healthy” but still getting something substantial and satisfying. It was a symphony for our tastebuds. We both agreed we would order it again in a heartbeat. Combined with wonderfully friendly service and a lovely atmosphere, it was a most enjoyable and memorable lunch experience. Highly recommended.
