On a day trip to Smiths Falls and selected Union Street Bar & Grill for lunch, because of the many positive online reviews. Not disappointed! Food and service were superb. Typical pub food but quality and preparation was excellent. Our server was friendly, cheerful, attentive and super energetic. Met a friend here for a late lunch near the end of December. Not many places were open so we expected to be disappointed. However, we were all mistaken as the food was terrific and the service was also excellent. I had the Montreal Burger with a salad, and my dining companion had the two piece fish and chips. Steps to front door.
I recently visited Union Street Bar & Grill and had a mixed experience. The food was just average; nothing particularly stood out. I ordered the wings, but they were overly sweet for my taste. The service was okay—not bad, but not exceptional either.
