An unassuming building, in a depressed area of St. Catharines, you’ll find an amazing breakfast/brunch restaurant. Pork Belly Eggs Benedict & the Lobster Florentine Eggs Benedict where the two best Eggs Benedict’s we have ever had. Expensive? Yes, and worth it. Great 416 coffee as well.

Be aware - since it’s not written on their website or anywhere except the “fine print” - that you MUST order an entree or you will be “kindly” asked to take your coffee and leave. I understand the business model but my friends and I did not appreciate that we were not told this upon arrival and were quite rudely presented with to-go coffee cups and told to check out the bistro across the street when not everyone wanted to order a full breakfast. We ended up staying and the food was excellent, but given the treatment we received I won’t be going back any time soon. But if you want to give it a go - just make sure to read the paragraphs of fine print on the board so you don’t get asked to take your coffee to go.

Cosy bistro with amazing food. The space had a charming and intimate atmosphere and the service was excellent.
My husband had the pork belly Benedict with Brie and he said it melted in his mouth. The potatoes that came with it were so good, he could have eaten a whole plate of them.
I had a vegetarian omelette with asparagus and aged cheddar and it was everything a good omelette should be - fluffy and light with the sharp taste of the cheddar. Salad that came with it was fresh with the perfect dressing.
The two ladies that served the tables were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the open kitchen looked to how to food is prepared.
Totally worth the hype and we will definitely be back.

This place is a hidden gem. I was there yesterday with a group of seven people as we were visiting Niagara Region. All of us loved the food. It was cooked to perfection and the details and ingredients in every dish are phenomenal. I had the salmon Benedict and my group were raving about the pork belly and pumpkin waffles. The service was great and everyone was welcoming. Will definitely go there again on my next trip to Niagara Region.

A hidden gem only revealed through the bright yellow door, this small but lovely little restaurant was a delicious experience! The pork belly was so nice and juicy and the eggs cooked to perfection, with everything being made by scratch I think it’s all well worth the price, if you happen to be passing by, I highly recommend making a quick stop for breakfast at this spot!

Honestly, the best breakfast/brunch spot I’ve ever tried.
I took a short trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake to enjoy the winery scene. While our wine tour experience wasn’t the best, this final dining spot turned out to be the highlight of the trip.
We ordered the Pork Belly Benedict and The Classic Breakfast — and both dishes exceeded our expectations. The pork belly was perfectly executed: incredibly tender and full of flavor. The hollandaise sauce was well made, the sourdough was excellent, and even the vegetables tasted fresh.
And I can’t forget the ambiance — the cute flamingo decor, the open kitchen, and the overall vibe made the place feel so inviting.
Absolutely a gem.

Let's just say if you want a quality meal and experience at a fine dining but for brunch. This is the place to go. The chef changes the menu daily to what is freshly available to him. Making it a ever changing menu. Thank you again for introducing me to pork belly. I highly recommend this bistro.

The food is great and our waitress, Maddie is so nice and attentive, especially to my elderly mother who is vegetarian and picky about her food. A rare gem in St. Catherine.

A brightly painted yellow door welcomes you to this unassuming St Catharines restaurant but offers plenty of wonderful food to those visiting. Once inside toy soldiers, flamingos, and other ephemera are displayed throughout and their Menu boards are located on both left and right walls of the bistro with the open kitchen straight ahead from the entrance. The restaurant is very noisy with sound bouncing off all the hard surfaces and we witnessed one couple abandoning their table possibly as a result of the incredible din and there were plenty of tables available during our visit. Upholstered seating or hanging fabric dividers between tables could aid in suppressing noise levels. I tried the omelette with white cheddar and asparagus with salad while my wife tried the Salmon Benedict with sourdough and micro-greens. Both were delicious. You'll want to break the egg to soften the sourdough crust to enjoy with the delicate salmon. My omelette was nice and light with very fresh slowly cooked asparagus alongside a very fresh salad with spring greens, radish and micro-greens. My $9.00 orange juice was perfect.
My wife's coffee was very good and there's lots of still water available from the carafes on each table. There's plenty of options to suit varying diets and next time I think I might order their cherries and creme with pain perdu (French toast). Pork Belly seems to be a favourite item on the menu but neither of our dishes came with this bacon substitute. Not your average brunch place and I'm glad we discovered Mirepoix while on a recent visit to Niagara. Diners are asked to limit their meal duration to 1 hour to keep up with the high number of customers. Merchandise is on sale. The menu board's last line cautions you not to park at The Giant Tiger plaza across Court Avenue due to the risk of your vehicle being towed. No charge, limited on street parking is available in front. Another recommendation for the owners is to consider adding an opaque window film because the real show is the unfortunate people who inhabit the parking lot opposite the Bistro. There was no patio dining available when we visited. $40-50 per person. Worth it!

We had such a wonderful experience! The food was absolutely amazing — we ordered the pork belly and the lobster, and both dishes were cooked perfectly with so much flavor. The restaurant itself was spotless and had a warm, welcoming vibe. On top of that, the chef was incredibly kind.
Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for delicious food and great service in the area!

In my opinion, people seem more impressed by the plating and presentation than the actual taste. For the price point of $98 for two meals and coffee, I expected a much higher standard. Unfortunately, I can’t say this was a good value or a great dining experience for either of us.
