I've been coming to this restaurant for over a decade and have always loved it, which made it the obvious choice for a long-overdue reunion with a dear friend who had traveled from afar. Sadly, this visit was deeply disappointing. Right from the start, things felt off — the lamp at our table wasn't even working, which set a tone of neglect. While the food itself was delicious, the service was shockingly poor. From the moment we sat down, we were rushed. My friend was only halfway through her salad when the server began pushing us to order dessert and settle the bill. When we politely said we were still eating, she insisted we move to the bar area because “someone else had a reservation.” We had a reservation too — one we made well in advance. It was clear that courtesy and basic hospitality were not a priority that evening. It's disappointing when a place you've supported and recommended for years treats you like an inconvenience. I truly hope management addresses this, because it was a very upsetting experience that tarnished what should have been a special night.

I just wanted to say thank you for a truly wonderful dinner. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. Our server was not only attentive and kind, but also brought such a great sense of humor to the evening and the surprise birthday dessert was such a thoughtful touch! We were absolutely blown away by how delicious the food was, and the whole experience made our visit incredibly special. We'll definitely be back and will be recommending Cafe Amore to friends and family.

Cafe Amore never disappoints the food and service are great as always . Alan and his staff always make sure that you enjoy your evening. I love the personal touches that they do such as coming over to wish my mom happy birthday and just the overall attention you receive. Always a family favourite .

The thing that left an impression was the fact that they didn’t even bring a sliver of a piece of cake for my birthday since the waitress asked if we were celebrating an occasion. The pizza had way too much cheese and all we could taste was the dough and the cheese. I had the chicken with mushrooms- the mushrooms and chicken lacked taste due to not enough salt but the veggies were very salty. Portions were a bit too small and a little stingy- the bruschetta pieces were so tiny.I loved the ambience though. I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately it didn’t live up to all the reviews I read.

We were there for Sunday lunch and had a wonderful experience. Great vibe, food, and service. A little on the pricey side once we added drinks and dessert, but not enough to keep us from coming back. While the charcuterie board used to be a clear winner for value, quality, and selection of items, it's recently (2024) increased in price and dropped in quantity and variety. Unfortunately that compels me to drop my rating to 4-stars.
