Cosy is everything I expected and more. It's like walking into a set of Interior Chinatown (TV show). The faux Chinese roof, the stereotypical duo dragon backdrop, the non-Chinese waiting staff, the Coffee News at the waiting area, the family photos together tell a Canadian Chinese immigration story of resilience and adaptation.
Food was amazing, you know the food is authentic when you could taste the toasty nutty flavor from the wok toss over a hot flame. We ordered the sweet and sour chicken, the sliced beef with green peppers, the Yen Doon Koo, the vegetable garden, the Cantonese lo-mein, which we asked to switch to rice noodles and veggies only, so it's vegan. We absolutely devoured the last 2 dishes, and took home 2 boxes of leftovers.
The waitress (Unfort, I didn't get her name) was fast and a joy to talk to. Apparently, she had been with the restaurant for 20 years, pretty evident when she effortlessly brought us 5 dishes and a bowl of rice on a large tray balanced on one shoulder.
Overall, Cosy is as the name suggested, a cozy restaurant with great Chinese Canadian food. We will be back!

What an awful experience! Was in town to have a late lunch a little while back. This place used to be good. Had a terrible experience with a rude women who worked there name Suzanne. Very unclean person to have working in a restaurant
If this is their standard practice with staff I would hate to see what the kitchen working environment is!
Stay far away from this establishment. Best they tear it down and build condominiums there!

Great food with really good prices and an awesome family run business. This is really a St. Catharines institiution. We’ve been eating here for years, and even now as I bring my family back for a visit after moving away 20 years ago - it’s still a great place with excellent food. Highly recommend

This is the worst experience ive ever had in my life. The waitress served my food (family style) no plates to eat on. Food came out cold. Told me to change my child in the dining room cause their bathroom is a closet. Left without eating. WILL NEVER RETURN. Waitress was rude and on her own, they tried to excuse her as saying shes ibly worked there a week. Well maybe she shouldn't be on the floor alone then at dinner time!! 0/10 experience.

Been visiting here for 30+ years
Still have the best honey garlic ribs and wonton soup in the region!
My husband & I were in town and decided to grab Cosy for the nostalgia, huge mistake. We were told when placing our order we would be called when it was ready but no one ever called. When I called to ask if our order was ready her response was “whenever you come get it”. The food especially the rice and chicken balls was bland dry and flavourless to the point not one of our four kids would eat it ( and I can’t blame them) and our order ended up being almost 20$ more than we were told over the phone.
This place is a throwback joint. An absolute tribute to era when there were no cellphones and nonstop debauchery! It's a reminder of good times! The lunch specials are on point!
dark, and old atmosphere, food was small amount n aweful tasting...very disappointed.
Good service, good food, delicious appetizers, I recommend them
A number 7&8 are listed for 13.95 each
But when I get the order it says $37.90 and additional 4.95 in taxes total $42.85 umm what’s the additional 10.05?
I live 1km down the road from them and waited 45 mins, they didn’t follow directions as to which door to use,and there were 3 staples in wife’s rice!

Absolutely love this place. Been going for years.
Owner is rude.
The food quality was A+: very fresh vegetables. Everything we ordered was very tasty and delicious. The lemon chicken was amazing! The best I ever had! Very clean and great atmosphere. Service was very good too. The waitress came by a few time to make sure we didn't need anything.
Ordered takeout on Christmas Eve. Have never ordered from Cosy before.
Best independent business Chinese Food I have had In the Niagara Region.
We ordered "Wong number " 6 and 9
Sweet and Sour chicken balls were so good as was the sweet and sour sauce which in many other Chinese Restaurants, it tastes like tin.
Chicken fried rice and steamed rice, perfect.
This will be my once a week go to for sure
