Sorry gonna go off on a tangent here but I think it’s worth it…. Genuinely if I could give a 0 I would. I am not trying to bash this dining hall for no reason, but it is honestly awful. The food is always the same, it’s bland and boring. There is ZERO options for vegetarians/vegans or even those who are dairy-free (like myself!). I understand they are serving food in bulk but serving hamburgers 3 days in a row? At least TRY to give some selection. There have been a couple times I’ve picked up plates that haven’t been washed properly, if it was a one time thing I’d let it slide but anything more than that is just unacceptable. The online menu is almost always inaccurate and does not match what’s actually being served. Food is never fresh, anything that is supposed to be served hot is never even relatively warm, except for maybe the pizza, which is the only thing they are consistent with! Additionally, the only area in the hall that actually provides us with some option is the dessert. They seem to have no problem coming up with different cookie/cake ideas so if you plan on getting fat you’ll love it here! On weekends they slack off completely, will serve breakfast right up until dinner time, so if you wake up early you’re stuck with eggs and sausages all day long. Not to mention it also doesn’t open until 7:30am on weekdays, and the earliest classes start is 8? You would think they would at least have the food ready by 7:30, but it seems that the workers arrive at the same time it opens. Just to make this all even worse, if you try to reach out to them and express concerns, they will either completely disregard your opinion or just simply provide no help whatsoever. A great example of this would be when I found a piece of cardboard inside my pizza, emailed them a picture of the piece I took out of my mouth and they told me they could not identify what the substance was. Pretty sure it tasted like cardboard to me!! Once again, I am not purposefully trying to be disrespectful by any means, and it may seem hypocritical that I do not have a background in hospitality, however you quite literally have ONE job and you can’t even do that.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Brock Dining Hall really needs to step up and fix the way things are run. The food is poorly made, cold, and often bland, and it’s clear that very little care goes into preparing or serving it.
The food options themselves are awful and definitely not what students want or should be eating. On top of that, the way the food is kept and displayed makes everything look unappetizing, and the entire area needs a serious clean-up.
When you try to contact someone about these issues, they just avoid the question or give no real answer. That’s unacceptable.
Brock needs to fix this now — students deserve better food, better service, and a dining hall that actually meets basic standards of quality and cleanliness.

I would not feed this food to a dog, i am not sure why brock even looks at there food and classifies it as edible. the food will poison you, for something you are obligated to pay 6 grand a year for. i have left this dining hall at least twice and had food poisoning on the little chance that i actually go. i would rather starve than ever eat here.

Sometimes they have something edible here but most of the time i have to go find somewhere else to eat despite meal plan being mandatory and 6 thousand dollars. If you can get past the terrible food you get the privilege of eating at a table covered in food leftovers and crumbs because they never clean them (or if you’re lucky they start cleaning while you’re already sat down eating and make you move). You can also have the option to drink several different drinks from the drink dispenser, but since they never refill it, all of them dispense tap water.

Food is absolutely atrocious to the point where I would rather starve. Waited in line for 20 minutes to receive a “spicy crispy wrap” was given a wrap with two chicken nuggets and a pinch of lettuce. When I asked if it was supposed to be spicy she threw a slab of sauce on my plate. It is almost comical how incompetent the workers are where they don’t even know how to make a wrap and forget that is supposed to be spicy when they call it a spicy wrap.

Prob the worst food you’ll ever eat in your life if you even get to the point of grabbing a plate and eating!

I wanted to share my personal experience with this dining hall. Whenever I go, I set expectations as low as possible, and I usually receive that expectation. Some days there is really good options, most of the time however its not. The times they do have something decent on the menu, you end up waiting 20 minutes for them to make a fresh batch because they under anticipate how much food to cook for the amount of people they get, the other times it's grilled cheese as the "special of the day". I tend to just get a slice of pizza or I just go to the other dining hall altogether as the flow of food being made tends to be better and they also have a designated sandwich station, which I love. I'm paying a lot of money for this service so I'm glad that there is a second dining hall to go to.

I live in this residence and I lost my card and I’ve been busy so I haven’t had time to get a new one and they wouldn’t let me in to eat before my class. The food sucks, the only good thing about this place is the 4 good employees, the rest are very rude and act like they’re not working and have no respect to anyone. It’s ridiculous that they wouldn’t let me in because of a lost card when I have a picture of it so there’s proof plus I have my numbers to get in. The management sucks at this place and I would never go here again if I had the choice. They also always have pork chops (which suck) and never change up the menu, like ever think about people who don’t eat pork? No because you make whatever is cheapest for the company. They also never have chicken which is the most liked source of protein because there cheap. DO BETTER.

The quality of food has gone down significantly from previous years (4/10). They lack variety and usually repeat certain foods like grilled cheese at least three times a week. (0) They are incredibly understaffed, when its busy it get dirty, when it is slow theres no food because they are cleaning. (Cleanliness:5/10) The staff are visibly stressed while working from what I assume are very long and underpaid shifts. Overall rating of 4/10. NOT WORTH $5,600.

If your hours specify for breakfast 8-11:30, there should be breakfast until then. I came down at 11:15 today expecting breakfast because it is still time. I was extremely disappointed when i only saw hard boiled eggs with everything else closed up. Again, when I come down later at night around 11:30 when there is still an hour and a half of the caf open. There is no pasta, no pizza only 1 item to eat. This place needs to switch up their food options aswell. You don't need to keep stir fry, hamburger, pizza, pasta every day, it's disgusting to eat over and over again. Have more options or switch it up. The only reason this is getting a star is because of the staff, they are extremely nice, otherwise I would give zero.
