Walking in the door time I was greeted with the biggest, friendliest smile. Atmosphere is nice and comfy and kinda funky.
First visit I ordered the Pot Stickers & the Sesame Ramen. (extra spicy)
Food came quick, hot, with a big smile, and presentation was nice. It looked delicious.
The pot stickers were alright. Not a ton of flavor but texture was good and the gyoza sauce was also just okay. Tasted good but lacked the zip & zing I was hoping for.
The Ramen also was just alright. It was a very fair amount for the price and tasted fine but the broth was lacking that salty-savory complexity I typically expect and it wasn't really spicy at all.
Both dishes were good, just no real wow factor.
Second visit I decided to get dishes that had spicy in the title.
First dish was the spicy wonton in chili oil. Fuiyoh! It was fantastic! Very flavorful, good amount of heat, good texture, absolutely delicious!
The other dish was the spicy miso ramen. While I did not find that one very spicy at all, the broth was super. It was savory and complex and very tasty.
Both times the service was exceptional, even when paying I was given a very friendly farewell. Prices were fair and I am looking forward to coming back and trying something else again!

Food was maybe the most bland I’ve ever had. General Tao literally had no traditional flavor, it was soggy and just tasted like dough and chicken with colouring added. No spices or anything to even compete with other restaurants that make this food properly. No flavor at all. I’m shocked how the rating is so high! Seems like a trap tbh, money wasted. I was so hungry too and food is supposed to taste better when you’re hungry but there was no saving this meal. I literally have to recook it with my own spices to give it a fighting chance, no exaggeration.

Food is not good. I had miso veggie noodles and it honestly tasted really bad. Would never come back. Look at the noodle lump in pic. Toilets is bad and broken.

Endless Average Noodles. I was given a strong recommendation to try this place. I ordered the Japanese Udon Noodles with chicken. It was probably the most plain meal I’ve ever had, it filled me up that, and that was it. The service was fine, the atmosphere was also fine but the place needs to be updated a little, especially the seating area. I’ve had much better noodle dishes so I probably won’t rush back in here.

This is a small yet comfortable and cozy restaurant. The food was great very good, good enough for me to want to order my same dish immediately after finishing.
However they didn't deliver my friends dish with mine so he had to watch me eat for 10 minutes while he waited for his.
Other than that my only other issue is the restroom.. It needs a major overhaul, it was very dirty, the door is covered in filth, no urinal puck, a bucket for a garbage can, and the floor is filthy. I give the food a 5/5 the service 4/5 but the bathroom a 0.5/5

We ordered the Zhou dumplings, shoyu ramen, farmers' chicken, and an eggplant dish. The food was good, though I wish there was a bit more flavour or spice. The broth in the ramen is very good! It's hearty but does not make you feel bloated or uncomfortable like how ramen usually does. The noodles were a it too mushy for my liking, though.
St Catharines does not have a lot of good authentic Chinese restaurants, but this one is pretty good and worth trying.
You say you can't find the one place that combines your love of anime and udon? Well fret no more! Tried this for the first time and would return if we were in the area again. Very generous portions, the food was outstanding and they even had a cat pudding which had to be tried. (Cuter than it tasted but you could say that about some of my dates in college too). Definitely recommend as a great midpriced option for home made noodles and more. Suggestions: the lemon chicken is made with real lemon and zest and has wonderful flavor. My wife loved her tofu and the wonton soup had 5 or 6 wontons along with delish other stuff.
And there is a weird mannequin display for absolutely no reason in case you need a photo op.

I really hate to leave a bad review as the ordering process and delivery was great. The main thing I ordered here for was the ramen soup. Tbf it was just ok. I ordered the miso ramen and it was quite flavorless. I had to add a lot of soy to flavor it. Vegetables were fresh and crisp, but the noodles were at the bottom in a solid mass. I didn't even really eat them as they were so glued together and flinging liquid around when I tried. I will say the dumplings were great, which was the bright spot. I was planning to bring my son here next weekend as he loves this soup, but after trying mine he said "ahh nah I like yours better". That's kinda sad for a middle aged white guy to have a better tasting ramen.
