Johnny Rocco's Italian Grill

We went to celebrate my mom’s retirement with the family. We booked a private room for 17 people. The room was nice and private but the food and service not as expected. The food came out at all different times by different servers and not everyone had their food at the same time. People that ordered entrees didn’t receive bread with their soup or salads and we were given bread at the end of the meal to take home. There was one salt and one pepper shaker for the entire table of 17 people. We had asked for chilli flakes for the table that never came and we had to ask for parmigiana when our pastas were delivered. The people that ordered pizza had very paper thin crust pizzas that were hard and overcooked with barely any cheese. It was a very disappointing experience for the price of the food. On a positive note they did allow us to bring our own cake and supplied the plates. Overall the service seemed very unorganized and no one checked in until after the meals to see how the food was. I understand we had a large party of people with children but if the restaurant was unable to accommodate us I would have preferred to know ahead of time and would have made the reservation elsewhere.

Great food and cocktail menu. The mushroom ravioli is delicious. I've now been there 3 times though, and the service was quite slow each time.

The restaurant was busy on a Saturday night but we still didn't expect the service we received and the noisy chaotic atmosphere. Service was very slow and bad, we needed to ask for every little thing and often were not given what we had asked for. Plates and glasses were often dropped which made for a noisy dining experience. Overall we weren't able to enjoy our dining experience because of the poor service, being ignored in favor of bigger parties, and never checking on anything we needed. It has turned us off of returning and we will need to go elsewhere to get Italian food in the future.

We recently had an event in the barrel room at Johnny Roccos in St Catherines food was amazing. As for the service cannot say enough about the servers Luca and Ella they went above and beyond for our family. Everyone could not thank them enough service was spot on they made it a great experience.

Kind of surprised about the 5 star reviews maybe friends and family or paid reviews.
Been going to this place since it opened once or twice a year and it’s steadily gone downhill. Food portions are smaller, service is avg, tables were sticky and not very busy prime time Saturday evening. Staff again like last time got drinks order wrong and a food order wrong. If there is one thing I hate at a restaurant it’s everyone having their food and one person not bcoz the order was screwed up. It’s an uncomfortable experience for all diners and spoils the whole meal. Won’t be returning

This was our 3rd and 4th time to Johnny Roccos in St Catharines. It is very handy to those staying at the Stone Mill Inn. Each time is a treat. The canzones are huge! Their home made arribiata amd pizza sauces are perfection.

Amazing!!! Had a retirement party for my dad with about 150 people and I could not have asked for better service! All the staff were so kind and helpful and always made sure to check in with me throughout the night. Food was amazing as always! So so grateful for the staff especially Janine for making this night so enjoyable and easy to plan:)

I went 2 weeks in bc a row on Tuesdays. Both times I ordered the spaghetti & meatballs. The first time it was good, this is reason for coming the next week… the second time the food was AWFUL!
Looks like they have the same servers working on Tuesdays, a woman and man bartender .. the woman served me the first time and she was ok.. the bartender served me the second time and he was not good at all. A smile goes a long way.

I will not be back.

What keeps us coming back is Johnny Rocco's (St. Catherine's) not only impeccable, and delicious food.....the outstanding staff and management. They all go beyond the call of duty and always make our dinners memorable. 11/10!

We visited Johnny Rocco’s for the very first time as a group of five, and from the moment we walked in, the experience was outstanding. The manager gave us such a warm welcome and He was incredibly friendly, especially with our kids, which made us feel right at home. Our server, She was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, including allergy concerns.
We ordered a pizza, two pastas, and chicken tenders for the kids—everything was served on time, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious. Both the manager and our server checked in on us multiple times throughout the meal, and I really appreciated this—it showed how much they cared about our experience and made us feel well looked after.
It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers on both taste and service so flawlessly, but Johnny Rocco’s exceeded our expectations in every way. Even though we can’t recall their names, we want to give full credit to the staff and management for creating such a wonderful experience. Truly a 10/10 visit. We’ll definitely be coming back! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, amazing service, and a family-friendly atmosphere.

We just visited Johnny Rocco’s for the first time. (Aug 20th) We entered and were seated at 5:45 pm. Restaurant was not very busy, had approximately 20% of tables with customers. We waited until 6:03pm. No waiter/waitress came to our table. We had no drinks nothing. This was the first time I ever left a restaurant.
