Too much bullying and not enough service. Need to improve their customer service. . I have changed my review rating... from a 5 star review to 1 star review. They took my cart away after I refused bags with products in my cart. ...EXTREMELY UNHAPPY with this bakery. I am now going somewhere elsewhere. I now buy my jams elsewhere... TOO EXPENSIVE. By the way , your bread is poor quality and I buy my bread elsewhere. Very surprised to hear that you use Margarine in your spreads confirmed by a MANAGER. Pricing is an issue but customer service definitely NEED SERIOUS IMPROVEMENT. Regarding Pies and DUE date. There were pies that were 2 to 3 days old..They should be discounted 20 to 50% off. There is no reason for a customer like me to spend a good 15 minutes searching out the FRESHEST PIES..!!! My debit receipt was WELL OVER $50 dollars.. I am not a cheap customer I want and insist on quality and freshness . The Service is going DOWN HILL at this store.. I threw the Margarine Garlic Bread where it belongs..IN THE GARBAGE!! Sorry I do not want a heart attack with Trans Fats!! USING MARGARINE IS SHOCKING IN THIS MODERN WORLD!! I will NEVER EVER GO to this Bakery ever again!!

They make the best empire cookies ever!!! Hot food bar and lots of yummy snacks to pick from including fudge and uh, sugar waffles

I got food delivered for my bridesmaids and I while getting ready for my wedding. Expectations exceeded! Great presentation and portions. Everyone loved it!

The older lady at the cash was incredibly rude and impolite and impatient , I was talking to another customer because she was asking the younger cashier a question she didn’t know and the other cashier threw the buns back at me and said she couldn’t help me because I was talking to long HELPING someone else which I was happy to do, wouldn’t of taken over a minute, never had a bad experience before today there super disappointed.

First time in there this morning to get some soup for a friend. So many great options-fresh breads, baked goods, frozen meals. Oh my goodness, I'll be back!

Great stop for so much good food. My go to place, especially on my way home from work.

I’ve been going for fresh buns since the 80’s.. with my dad and then as an adult .

They have the best fresh buns and bread and I now enjoy having items catered as well and the food is raved about by my guests.

The deli has a large assortment of meat and the deli counter staff are very friendly as are the rest of the employees.

My favourite meal is the large cooked meatballs on fresh onion buns . So Delicious.

Our go to stop for so many staples. Fresh bread and buns are high quality. We always Order one of their pizzas for parties as they are a great price. There isn’t anything bad to be said about this bakery. The staff go above and beyond to help.

Oh and I never leave without the deviled eggs from the cooler !

Such a great market. Excellent selection and staff.

This place is a gem! If your looking for an authentic Italian bakery search no more. Also don't forget to grab a doughnut on your way out.

Since moving to st.Catharines I have come to Mitchell’s several times for fresh baked bread and seasonal items, the food is always good whether you are picking up some thing for dinner or a quick sandwich or soup for lunch.
