For 10+ years this is and will always be my favourite ice cream shop!!! It’s a Wonderful family owned and operated business with exceptional service, a large selection of ice cream flavours and decent prices! The only negative comment I have to say about this place is it sucks that it’s only seasonal and shuts down by Thanksgiving I’d love to be able to eat here all year long!!

Well, folks, I've heard some good things about Old Port Dairy Bar. The ice cream I tried was tasty, no doubt, as they carry several flavors of Kwartha, Chapman, and other Canadian brands (Not Nestle anymore). The milkshakes are creamy but are only as good as the flavor of their commercial grade icecreams, unlike a typical Gelato or a slow churned icecream bar. Please don't compare those with the shakes at Avondale dairy bar or you will be underwhelmed. The atmosphere was pleasant, but it didn't quite live up to the hype other than the fact that it's right next to Lake Side Park. Overall, a decent experience, but not sure if it's a must try.

Absolutely the BEST ice cream shop in the region! The owners are lovely and they go over and above to make sure their customers leave happy. Gluten free and sugar free options on menu are both delicious and their homemade cookies are amazing! Can’t say enough good things and would HIGHLY recommend the trip to Port Dalhousie just to visit Old Port Dairy Bar.

The ice cream was mediocre, and the service was just terrible. The staff was rude and completely uninterested in the customers. Such poor service ruined the whole experience. I do not recommend this place.

It’s hard to rate less than 5 stars for an ice cream joint, but there was something off about this ice cream. It’s a sweetness I can only liken to Splenda or other artificial sweeteners. No samples, so no way to know if it was just the cookie dough
